The Inspiration behind our new spooky project...
This is a quick flick through some of what has been going round our brains for the last year and a half!
Lots of spooky reference and trying to break down what we like about them, what gives them the vibes, what colours feature etc etc.
There's a right old mixture of film, TV and art, but we've tried to put some favourites that have something to do with our project in this reel. We know, not all of them are strictly "spooky", Hilda has a cool scandi/folk thing going on and the Owl House is a bit more 2000s American cartoon in its use of colour and shading.
Colour pallets have been a fun one to be playing with. We've tried a few in the project already, from sophisticated Howl's Moving Castle opulent to more modern playful and bright. In our recent email newsletter we asked people to have a little vote on what colours they liked. Do you want a say? We'll be putting out a poll soon.
