"We are living in beige times, We need to break free from social conformity and re-unite with our individuality"

" Each item I create is completely unique to the last. I am only interested in creating different, individual pieces.Jewellery is often overlooked by many, beige and simple being the majority of jewellery in high street shops.I have always been interested in the different in life, different people, different clothes, different everything.Jewellery is something that has gone beige, my mission is to make it-more interesting-DIFFERENT! my pieces, I consider , like a piece of clothing, NOT AN ACCESSORY! something to buy a wardrobe around! Each item is handmade, mixing materials from old to new, household randoms-to precious stones. Everything I make, is a one off, unrecreatable, a mini work of art for your neck-hence why they are called neckfaces"

Lets re consider -the poor old neck-its got forgotten somehow-lets make it feel special again!

So for many, many years my dear friend Ann (my friend who recently died) used to try to explain how to use a sewing machine to draw.

For the life of me, I just couldn’t get it. I tried and tried and tried, and I just couldn’t get it right.

Que- a random video on Instagram (which I will find and tag) and I am watching someone draw- and I still don’t get cut. Today I realised it’s because I draw quite a lot.
But within this video I asked, what is it your doing? I really don’t understand? All she said was- I’m moving the fabric to draw.

That was it.
My brain suddenly got it, therefore it needed to have a go immediately. A friend recently gave me a dinky Bernina that she found in a charity shop for £12 😱😱

(IT’S LIME GREEN- not that I am colour obsessed or anything?!?!-I was actually shocked she didn’t mention 😱😱😱)

So anyways, this is my first time drawing with a sewing machine- and it obviously needed to be Sir Tarquin Badgeral Smythe.

It is one of the weirdest experiences I think I have ever had. 😂😂😂

Oh god, this means I can make appliqués now 🙄🙄🫣😂🙌

This event last Sunday, the photos and videos coming through are still blowing my mind, the incredible performers like weaving words and encompassing .shillito’s work. The incredible artisty of the models- like whose performances made this whole event magical- rather than a traditional stiff runway show. The endless artists in the creating the mood and backdrop like - that’s so essential to the FaeEL of the whole thing.
And then the photographers- who have captured the fever dream that was and beautiful and wonderful love child 😍😍😍 ❤️art

Oh my goodness!! The whirlwind of seeing this show unfold backwards online?!! Sadly, with everything going on I was too unwell to be there myself- but my earrings- they have a better social life than I do.

So I will be dumping ALOT of AMAZING photos like this one by Martin Perry of the amazing Naomi Bonafoux in amazing show on Sunday. Creative designer and print designer ⚡️Hannah Shillito⚡️.

Honestly? I still can’t believe little ol me was included in this incredible show on 😱😱😱😱

My brain is in orbit. My ADHD ness doesn’t know my arse from@my elbow- with regard to what to post, what’s first, what next- so many amazing images- so just you wait!!

Such an incredibly powerful show, that I will always be absolutely heartbroken I did not see with my own eyes 🥹🥹🥹

Phenomenal!!

This is Carley the incredible mastermind behind . She has been working her socks off to create an immersive fashion experience in Shoreditch in London, on the 13th September.

Working with artists like .shillito who designed the images for the fabric, and .london -Carley has created the most amazing community collective of incredible artists, in order to make the experience of a fashion show- completely turned on its head 😍😍😍

After my dear friend Ann dying, it has been very hard to function, but I have been using the mantra- what would Ann want me to do? So to my delight, my work, my earrings are going to be included in this incredible line up of artists 😱😱😱

I am still in shock, and a little mindblown to be asked to be involved! I have never been to a London fashion show, let alone participated in one!! So when this amazing opportunity presented itself- I had to say YES!!

I will add details after I have written this, as I have done this 3 times so far- bad internet connection in my new place 😭😭😭

Anyways, CANNOT wait. So excited to be a part of “The Perfect Storm” 🥹🥹❤️‍🔥

Yesterday evening I had the saddest news I have had to endure for a very long time. One of my best friends of 20 years, suddenly died in her sleep.

This is a picture of Ann Rawson (pen name) a fantastic author, an incredible friend, but more than that -all family rolled into one person.

She helped me, whenever I needed help. Whether it was emotional support, or helping me to fill in every type of form, or any writing task- because of my dyslexia. She supported me through big complaints at the NHS, to work forms, to literally every format of writing you can imagine.

She gave her time, so, so generously. Not only that she encouraged me to sew, to build a love of sewing, to stop being scared of it- and that eventually turned into her parting with one of her beautiful Bernina sewing machines as a gift to me. It felt like heaven compared to all my cranky machines.

She had a lust for weaving, all things textile- deep down I think she wanted to be a textile designer like the characters in her first book.

She also loved all things esoteric, witchy, interesting, morbid (as any crime writer would) historical, from ancient handmade items- to incredible finds.

We could talk about anything. Literally. And, she was one of those rare people in your life- who feels like home..

I am so, so in shock. I am beside myself.

Here is a beautiful picture of her, buying her first Fwaylawn necklace -the cheeky bu**er ordered it without telling me!! I went on to make her a witchy necklace to reflect “the witch house” her second novel.

She loved Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, and a gudzillion authors who I wouldn’t even like to try to start a list. Books were her passion.

A complete a complete Polymath, amazing at whatever her passion was. Including quilting, handmade felting and all kinds of sewing.

An inspiration, a confidante, a compassionate yet wry humour- that just made everything normal again. Her mind, her wit, is such a loss to this universe.

Oh Ann. Why the f**k did you have to go and die for?
I had so much to tell you, to see you- to show you the things I had made or was going to make on my machine once settled into my new place.

Love you Ann.

I love this picture so much!! This is the fabulous .cafe Fiona, styling her collar, with another collar and layers of jewelery, whilst all matching her eye make up. Hot damn I love Fiona’s style so much, guaranteed everything she is wearing is handmade if not be herself, then by a myriad of different artists.

It’s like I can eat her with my eyes, every time I see her.
Like a visual feast.

Fiona has the most beautiful cafe in fiveways trail, so if you are doing open houses definitely stop there for handmade gluten free cake, hot chocolate or whatever your desire is. It’s a beautiful little haven, of stunning artists and beautiful scenery. Most of all, it has the loveliest people- like Fiona.

Check out her work tooo, Fiona makes all sorts, from capes, to jewellery, to plates, to all kinds of everything! So super talented- and she never stops. Not sure how she does it all ?!?!!

This year on Christmas Day, I had 3 little beautiful elves, who were gonna help me on a mission.

First of all, they were going to cut my hair-

2nd of all and most importantly - they wanted to donate my hair to to make wigs for children who have lost their hair.

So this was literally a full circle situation for me.
Winning all round, the beautiful girlies, got to cut someone’s hair- which I know will be super rare- so a random experience.

Donating the hair to such a beautiful cause, after me loosing my own hair 15 years ago- for absolutely no reason- and being terrified and told it would never grow back. I lost it all in 2 days. It was an enormous shock. It took 2 years of intensive steroid treatment for it to start to grow again.

But. It’s the reason I started making jewellery. As I have to pour myself into learning something everytime I am unwell in my life. So it was the birth of . I have always had to turn negative situations into something positive, it’s what having an artists soul does to you.

So not only did I get the best haircut in town- by my favourite people on the planet-

But beauty continues from this point.

So anyone who is getting their hair cut, please think before you do- check out the website for length needs etc.

And do something beautiful with your hair.
Because, believe me when I say- it is the weirdest and deeply unpleasant thing- loosing it.

Howdy folks of Instagram and Facebook.
So I actually managed to go out, after about 6 months, this is the first time- out in the world except for doctors apps. I needed to dress up. I needed to be magical.

I got to wear my incredible frock 😍
Cascading pink glitter, over a minty green crazy princess ensemble, with the fabulous earrings. I also wore a necklace made by my friend Fiona .cafe

First of all I went to see the fabulous to check out her amazing wears, in her pop up- whose last day is today! So go if you can!! Have a rummage in Sandra’s sack.. it’s fun 👌👌💋❤️‍🔥 so lovely to see you, the best pop up I have ever seen- it looked like it was just Lucy’s shop. She works so hard- she is absolutely amazing to me. In awe 👌👌
(And I forgot to take pictures!!) it’s at 40 Gloucester Road.

Then I went to our annual Christmas private view which was fabulous as always, Lola, Tony and Jules are just the most beautiful team- who attract beautiful, beautiful people. I met some incredible people, whose names escape me!! Some stayed, Jim and Jimmy and Nicky- but everyone else, I hope they find me on here.

I am someone who never “feels” lonely. But last night, getting an opportunity to talk to a stranger, to connect, to bond, even briefly- in that moment, it made me realise- f**k, I am and do get lonely for connection. Having chronic health, being in pain, means you are much less palatable to the world. No fun to be around. So you (I ) hide a lot.

But last night was beautiful inspite of the fact, the weather was shocking. My poor friend Gill, was exhausted with all the crazy weather and helping me with the wheelchair etc- it’s stressful stuff, going out is not easy anymore- with disabilities. A big thank you to Gill, one of my best friends. She really went far above and beyond 😞BIG LOVE

I forgot to take ANY pictures of the venue, with other people, of my jewellery, all I got is the before pictures..it was sensory overload as soon as I was out.
