I’m opening my doors again!

For the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming artists, makers and visitors into my home as part of Brighton’s Artists Open Houses.

This winter, we’re doing something a little different.

For the first time, 92 Montpelier Road will be opening for three weekends, bringing together 14 artists and makers, each with their own stories, materials and creative practices.

I’ll be showing my jewellery alongside a wonderful mix of ceramics, paintings, textiles, glass, illustration and more.

One of the things I love most about Open Houses is the opportunity to meet you in person. To show you the jewellery up close, talk about the stories behind the pieces, and share the space with so many talented makers.

And perhaps you’ll find something special to take home, too.

A date for your diary — The Fiveways Community Fair!

I’m delighted to be joining The Maker’s Fair in Fiveways this November, alongside 37 other independent makers and small businesses.

I’ll be bringing a selection of my handmade jewellery, from everyday favourites to one-of-a-kind pieces. A lovely opportunity to see the work up close, try things on and perhaps find something special for Christmas.

Even better, this fair is raising funds for two wonderful local initiatives — St Richard’s Community Support Café and St Matthias Playcafé.

Come along for a day of creativity, community and thoughtful Christmas shopping.

Slowly, through shaping, cutting, forming, playing with fire, something begins to take shape.

It’s this part of jewellery making I love most - watching an idea become something tangible.

A new chapter of a familiar form.
Hand-cut & marked Belak, paired with freshwater pearls - no two quite a like.

Inspired by the traditional Timorese Belak, a medallion with bravery and honour, each piece brings together a form I return to again and again with the softness and individuality of freshwater pearls.

THERE IS A STORY
BEFORE THE JEWELLERY.

Much of my work begins with objects I grew up seeing, or later came to understand more deeply through my Timorese heritage.

The Belak. The Kaibauk. Morten.

Objects connected to bravery, ceremony, inheritance, status and exchange — each carrying histories far beyond their physical form.

I don’t want to simply reproduce them. I’m interested in what happens when I take a form, a material or an idea and rework it through my own practice.

Sometimes that means abstracting the crescent of a Kaibauk into a ring. Sometimes it means returning to the circular form of the Belak. And sometimes, with Morten, it means physically taking apart a contemporary necklace sourced in Dili and restringing its beads by hand in my Brighton studio.

I’ve created a new Stories page on my website to share more about the objects behind the jewellery — and how they find their way into my work.

Something very special is happening!

I’m thrilled to share that my jewellery will be in Lewes for the very first time at the beautiful new ORIANA EVANS GALLERY 27 during the ArtWave Fesrival.

This one feels extra close to my heart because the gallery is founded and run by the incredible woman sustainable eco Jeweller. Oriana has built a true ‘tardis’ of independent art, ceramics, and handmade magic.

To have my collections sitting on the shelves of this gorgeous independent space alongside such brilliant line up of Sussex makers is an absolute honor.

If you are local to Lewes or visiting in September, please do pop in and say hello.

STUDIO HOLIDAY

Time for a proper family holiday 🇹🇭

After a busy few months at the bench, I’m taking a little time away to switch off, soak up the sunshine and make memories with my family.

The website will remain open while I’m away, so you’re still welcome to place an order. Please not that ALL orders placed during my break will be made, processed and shipped after 19th of August.

Thank you, as always, for supporting my small independent jewellery studio. I’ll be back at the bench from 19 August, ready to create your jewellery with fresh energy and new ideas. 💡 😘

For the first time, I’m running a sale directly from my bench.

Over the years, I’ve created some exploration pieces, some one-off experiments, pieces that were made while developing my skills and discovering my styles. Every piece is handcrafted, every piece deserves to be worn.

This weekend (24-26 July), I’ll be releasing 30 pieces over three days.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Around 10 pieces each day
Once they are gone, they are gone.

I’ll be sharing each piece here on Instagram and they’ll also be available to purchase through my website.

Available for delivery in the UK only. Orders will be posted before the 30th of July.

Orders for friends in Timor can be collected from Dili from 7th of Sept.
