Excuse me for being quiet here lately.
My dad had a fall and recently had a hip replacement, he is doing well, thankfully, but being on the other side of the world has made me miss home more than usual.
It reminded me of the time I was making these earrings. Melting the gold granules to form the charm bécame a release when I felt angry and needed to switch off. The uneven surface holds that moment. The imperfect chains speaks of the beautiful imperfections within families. And the safety back that anchors the chain became a reminder of the steady love I find in my own little family.
And so, the Tali Collection was created.
Tali means ‘rope’ in both Bahasa Indonesia and Tetum - a symbol of the ties that connect us, no matter how far apart we may be.
There are three one-of-a-kind statement single earrings available on the website. All made from 9ct recycled gold.
