There’s a Latvian proverb that says, “Measure seven times, cut once.” ✂️

To help you avoid making an impulse purchase, I’ve prepared a comprehensive review comparing three very different polymer clay advent calendars from 2025:

👩🏻‍🎨 Clay cutters, stamps, tools & tutorials
👩🏻‍🎨 Agnes | Micro Tools & Tips
👩🏻‍🎨 Polymer Week | Polymer Clay Community

I’ve also come up with five questions to ask yourself before committing to a polymer clay advent calendar in 2026. 🎄🎁

Swipe through to explore the differences, and if you’d like to see exactly what was inside each calendar and discuss them in depth, you can watch my full review on YouTube! 🎥

Which of these three calendars would you choose for Christmas 2026? Or would you rather spend the money picking out your own tools? 🎅🏻

I’ve been a little quiet on here, but the creatures haven’t disappeared anywhere. In fact, I’m making more each day for something exciting toward the end of the year. 👩🏻‍🎨

Creepy but cute is an all-year-round aesthetic in my world, but I appreciate the extra love every October gives my little monsters. 🎃

May this dragon fruit get you in the Halloween spirit! 👻

Circus 🎪

My July Polymer Week | Polymer Clay Community Society challenge.

I took the theme literally and turned some childhood circus memories into polymer clay: clowns, acrobatics and a bear — although this time the bear is safely confined to a backpack. 😂

This project pushed me well outside my usual style and, more importantly, pushed me to finish something that I would normally have abandoned after encountering a design flaw.

It reminded me that creativity isn’t always chaos. Sometimes it takes a surprising amount of discipline to make the ridiculous idea in your head actually exist.

I look forward to a day when I’ll have time to re-make this to work the way I had originally intended. 🐻‍❄️

If you would like to test yourself, check out www.polymerweeksociety.com for a new challenge every month + tutorials and interviews with other polyner clay artists. 👨🏻‍🎨

Bargain hunting is my second favourite hobby after polymer claying 🤭 Will you be getting these cutters for your art?

What about yourself? 🕷️

The flower crown (vainags) holds deep significance in Latvian culture. It symbolises womanhood, harmony with nature, endurance through seasons and centuries. 🌸

It’s a living symbol of the rhyme of the land, worn during rituals, solstice celebrations, weddings and harvests. 🔥

My crown is made from translucent and white polymer clay and is a stylised version I created after drawing inspiration from my Latvian cultural heritage and nature. 🌱

It’s not just an accessory, it’s a statement and belonging. I hope you like it. 🤍

I know they say that everything is content, but some projects are so immersive, big and emotional that filming video content takes a back seat while you stay in the moment and pour your heart and soul into your creation.

I have always been a fan of Translucent polymer clay and it was fun to see how other artists and makers use their colorful translucent clay as part of the ,however, translucent white remains favourite and I am allowing myself completely romanticise it through use in this flower crown project.
