Melody and Jonny met me through our Beginners Ring Making workshop

The group they were in was so lovely and friendly I invited them all back for a branding shoot with my wonderful friend - swipe to see the photos at the end

It's just been such a natural process creating these rings for the couple and I felt absolutely honoured when they trusted me with their designs.

A warm orange sapphire for Melody's ring with twisted textured 9ct Gold metal and a significant engraving on Jonny's to represent their families and union.

This couple 😍 my rings and a beautifully simple city wedding 💒

I wanted to take a minute this wedding season as people are gearing up for summer celebrations to show off this absolutely WONDERFUL couple Elliot and Gabi ❤️ you guys are the best!

They came to me with an idea for BIG chunky silver wedding rings. They had a stripped back celebration just rings, flowers and a photographer and I think their love and impeccable vibe shine through.

They were the loveliest clients and I wish them the best on all their next adventures! It was a pleasure 🤘

I can finally share this beauty.

A came to me with a beautiful Brontë inspired proposal planned. She wanted luxury with a touch of darkness and plenty of sparkle.

We opted for a large black sapphire surrounded by six lab grown diamonds set in 18ct gold. Vintage inspired but clearly contemporary.

To make it extra special she had her fingerprint designed into the ring 🤌 swipe to see the finished effect.

I absolutely loved working on this piece and it's such a special proposal.

It's not perfect but...it's how I like to work.

There are limitations to sourcing things this way. It means designs aren't repeatable and it takes a long time to create something new - because they are new all the time!

However there's something magical about the slow nature of designing around materials and working with limited stones.

I don't mass purchase gems but I am looking at some better choices for suppliers to open up designs in the future.

What an incredible opportunity! Learning the ancient skill of Hand Push Engraving from an internationally acclaimed engraver.

Huge thank you for spending two days with us in Bristol.

The final image is John's absolutely perfect engraving 😂 after mine... Judge as you like!

I am really interested in how engraving makes the body interact with the metal and I love the tactile nature of it
Despite needing a lit of practice.

It was bound to happen! After a busy couple of years in 2025 I realised my creative juices were running incredibly low.

I decided for the first part of 2026 to take it very steady and remove any pressure for new designs. I've also not been trading at any in person events and have started changing the way I take commissions, more info on this coming.

I'm very lucky to have built a diverse income and an affordable lifestyle which means I can change the pace at which I work to a certain extent.

I'm reaching the end of this winter - spring creative hibernation and have been regenerating ideas and skills ready to open back up.

I'm grateful to all the teachers at Silver & Steel who have been covering and enabling me to take some rest periods and grateful to all of you for still being here and following BMS. Thank you for the support ✨

I am bound to jewellery and making things with my hands, feeling joyful about getting stuck back in ❤️
