Tucked away behind the imposing facade of No 10 Northgate Street, is one of the jewels in the crown of Bury St Edmunds – The Farmers Club, an elegant and relaxing sanctuary, offering traditional values of service and hospitality in a Grade 1 listed building. Opened in September 1947 as a farmers and business club, today our exclusive premises in the heart of Bury St Edmunds are available to a far

wider range of members from within the local private and business community. Although we remain a private members club, we also offer many of our facilities for private, corporate and wedding hire. Our Club is situated in a Grade 1 Listed Medieval hall, incorporating Jacobean and Georgian additions. Formerly owned by the Baron of the Exchequer to Henrys VII and VIII the Club bought the building in 1946. Today the Club boasts a fine Regency dining room, informal brasserie, Jacobean lounge, oak panelled bar as well as a host of function and ante-rooms, making it ideal for corporate, private and wedding hire. We also have secluded gardens and car parking for up to 80 cars.
