1590 capstan update etc
This lathe came with the original 0.9hp motor. The 'green' lathe has a .75 & is a little underpowered so, the idea is to swap motors & mardrives as the greens motors hinge is welded to the drive assembly [not be me]!
It's simpler to swap the entire drives over

The wonders of the modern world...spend a whole evening detailing the history, development etc if a work of art & it doesn't get published for some reason! 😖
Here's the photos [maybe?!], of my recently purchased, circa 1945-6[??], Pultra 'P' type lathe potentially with manufacturers lanolin still on it.
Once published, I may caption individual photos again..May take some time!

The instructions I got from the dentist said something about food so it was leek & potatoes soup instead of destined fish pie!
Soft dinner after 20 yrs not seeing a dentist, 3 extractions [previously broken teeth] & 2 [minor], fillings..
Soup served with cream/elmlea & croutons...delicious!!
Now to get back to the recommended of cold drinks!! 🙂
