Meet Ennor. Our newest engagement ring design, with a little inspiration from the past.

The Old European Cut diamond is a favourite amongst those who love antique jewellery. Its distinctive facets give it a character quite different from the modern brilliant cut, with beautiful flashes of light as it moves.

For Ennor, we've paired a 1.03ct lab grown Old European Cut diamond with a new 18ct yellow gold band, featuring a delicate engraved pattern.

The combination is gorgeous. It has all the charm of an antique engagement ring, with the reassurance of knowing it has been individually handmade using traditional goldsmithing techniques.

The choice of a lab grown diamond, alongside recycled 18ct gold, also means no new mining is required for either the diamond or the precious metal.

Ennor is a one-of-a-kind ring, available now from our ready-to-wear collection.

Two blue sapphires, and two very different shades of blue. Which one catches your eye?

The sapphire on the left has a beautiful richness to its colour, with hints of violet running through the deep blue. The one on the right is lighter and cooler, with silvery blue tones that catch the light.

Both have been emerald cut, a style I particularly love for the way it shows off the colour within a gemstone.

But there's another interesting difference between these two.

The deeper blue is a 1.2ct Chatham laboratory-grown sapphire, while the lighter blue is a 1.12ct natural sapphire.

Laboratory-grown sapphires are genuine sapphires, with the same chemical and physical properties as those formed naturally in the earth. Both are beautiful choices, and each has its own appeal.

I can already imagine how these will look in a finished handmade engagement ring, perhaps with a simple gold or platinum setting that allows the sapphire to take centre stage.

Both gemstones are currently available, and I'd be delighted to discuss creating a ring around whichever one you fall in love with.

So, which blue would you choose?

There are sapphires that are beautiful at first glance, and then there are those you find yourself looking at again and again.

This extraordinary blue parti sapphire is one of them. Rich midnight blues, deep ocean teals and flashes of brighter turquoise all appear within the same gemstone, giving it a wonderful depth of colour.

It was chosen for a previous bespoke engagement ring commission, with delicate diamond clusters set either side of the sapphire in platinum.

What makes sapphires like this so appealing is that no two will ever have quite the same combination of colours and patterns. Each gemstone has its own individual character.

We currently have a slightly smaller 1ct (6mm) blue parti sapphire in stock, with similarly beautiful colouring, which could be the starting point for your own bespoke engagement ring.

If these rich blue and teal shades have caught your eye, we'd be delighted to show you the sapphire and discuss the possibilities.

There is always a little excitement in my workshop when a new engagement ring is finished, particularly when I've been working with a sapphire as beautiful as this one.

When I first chose this Australian parti sapphire, I knew I wanted its wonderful green and golden colours to be the centre of attention. The design grew around the gemstone, with six small diamonds bringing a lovely balance to the finished ring.

From melting and shaping the gold to creating the setting, carefully placing each gemstone and giving the ring its final polish, every part has been made by hand in my Cornish workshop using traditional goldsmithing techniques. It's taken many days of work to bring the design to life, and now I finally get to share it with you!

This is my latest addition to the ready-to-wear engagement ring collection. Completely handmade in 18ct yellow gold and waiting for its perfect moment.

I'd love to know what you think of it.

She wants a midnight blue sapphire engagement ring, but never dreamed she'd find one quite so beautiful.

She's imagined what it might look like. Wondered whether she'd recognise it when she saw it. And hoped that when the time came, he'll understand exactly what she meant.

She hasn't told him which ring to buy.

But she's left a few clues.......

And if he's paying attention, he'll know that Bedruthen is the one.

You said yes to the engagement ring. You exchanged wedding rings.

And all these years later, there's still room for at least one more.

Perhaps for your first anniversary, your tenth or your thirtieth. To celebrate the arrival of a baby, a special birthday or another milestone.

Some rings hold memories of the day you received them. Others become a reminder of everything that's happened since.

And there's always room for another.

The colours you see within this ring are all naturally formed and not heat-treated, which is rare. Parti sapphires make for incredibly interesting gemstones.

You know the ring. The one you looked at yesterday.

And then again this morning.

The one you've zoomed in on, pictured on your hand and possibly sent to someone with a very unsubtle hint?

Which one is yours?
