Did you see the Perseid meteor shower on Wednesday night? I sat in the garden late at night and watched it. It was so quiet and still, and the sky was so clear, it was just beautiful. I felt really humbled by it.
I've actually been beading little stars for the last week. It started with a custom order of two pairs, and then I decided it would be good to stock up a bit, as these get very popular around Christmas time... (sorry if that's too much!). So I came up with the bright idea to recreate the Perseid shower by making a stop-start animation with my earrings, using a black jigsaw puzzle mat I have, and my phone camera. Honestly, I spent such a long time trying to do it. And the result? I couldn't possibly show you. It's worse than you can even imagine! So here's a photo of just a few of the stars I've made this last week. Nowhere near as spectacular as the ones I saw on Wednesday, I admit, but you can wear these little beauties and look dazzling all year round!
