Dangers of Open Water
Please read below and the link from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue https://www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk/your-safety/safety-outside/water-safety/

We are reminding people of the dangers of entering open water after a child was rescued from a lake in Stoke-on-Trent.

We were called at 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 May) to Hanley Park, on Cleveland Road, following reports of a child stranded in a lake.

Three appliances attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The child was rescued and received medical treatment at the scene by paramedics.

Having a spring clean this half term?

Many toys are made from hard plastics that can’t go in your blue bin.

If they’re still in good condition, consider donating them to a local charity shop so they can be loved again. 💛

Broken or unusable toys should be placed in your green general waste bin.

🏠 We’re reminding all tenants

♻️ Food waste isn’t just what’s left on your plate.

It also includes everyday items like tea bags, coffee grounds, banana peels and eggshells that often get thrown away.

By recycling these, you can cut down what goes into your general waste bin and help transform it into renewable energy and nutrient-rich fertiliser.
