At Jesper Velling Jewellery, you are part of the process throughout. We work with you to create a ring around your stone, your ideas, and the details that matter to you 💞

Wedding jewellery is far more than a beautiful accessory for your big day; it is a profound, lifelong investment that carries enduring value. Unlike many aspects of a wedding that last only for the day, your jewellery remains with you forever, growing in both sentimental and financial worth over time.

Long after the dress is stored away and the flowers have faded, your wedding rings are worn daily. They serve as a constant, visible reminder of your vows, commitment, and shared journey.

Our jewellery does not wear out. It is designed to be passed down to children and grandchildren, carrying your love story forward and becoming a priceless piece of family history.

From classic solitaires to something completely individual, each piece is designed and crafted in our studio workshop in the beautiful Kent countryside, just outside Canterbury. With bespoke engagement and wedding rings typically completed in approximately 4–6 weeks. We keep you informed every step of the way, with progress pictures of the making of your bespoke pieces. All finished in a stunning box and bag with complimentary valuation for insurance and annual polishing and maintenance check to ensure your jewellery remains in prestige condition, allowing you to wear it with pride and confidence for life.

Sensational Sapphires 💙 Which one would you choose?

September brings us the stunning signature stone that is the sapphire, which symbolises wisdom, loyalty and sincerity. So it's fitting that for a commission this month our client has opted for a gorgeous blue sapphire centre stone...but which one will he choose?

Did you know that part of the bespoke commission process with us (and often the most exhilarating part for many) is the stone selection. In the comfort of our studio in the Kent countryside, you can spend time exploring a curated selection of loose gemstones, just for you. Under the loupe (a small specialised magnifying device) you can see the fiery brilliance of ethically sourced diamonds, the deep oceans within sapphires, or the vivid green of emeralds. You get to hold them, watch how they catch the light, and choose the exact gem that speaks to you.

Throughout this process, Jesper’s expert guidance ensures your vision aligns with structural perfection. You learn about the unique personality of each stone, its origin, and how different settings will bring your design to life.

Precious Peridot 💎 💚

It is fitting that peridot is the birthstone for August, the sunniest month of the year, as the ancient Egyptians called peridots “the gems of the sun” and believed that they fell from the sky (some peridot crystals arrive on Earth via meteorites, making them literal space gems!) 🌌

Peridot is also treasured for its protective powers and uplifting energy. For those born in August, it is a symbol of strength, harmony, and positivity 💚

There is something magical about transforming a piece of family history into a symbol of a brand new chapter.
We had the absolute joy of bringing Oli’s vision for Alice to life, and the result is a truly personal, bespoke engagement ring.

The Design Journey 🐚
Oli wanted to incorporate Alice’s love for the sea into this ring, so we crafted a design that mirrors the sweeping curves of their hometown coastline. It is a subtle, elegant reminder of home, right at her fingertips.

Continuing the Legacy 💎
Instead of sourcing entirely new materials, we carefully repurposed the 14-carat gold and stunning brilliant-cut diamonds from Oli’s family jewellery. By breathing new life into these precious heirlooms, we ensured that the family's legacy and love continue into the future.

Did you know that the official June birthstone is the only gem in the world created by a living creature?

While classic cream pearls are beautiful, Tahitian pearls are redefining modern luxury for June birthdays.

Grown in the warm coastal lagoons of French Polynesia, these captivating treasures are produced by the black-lipped oyster (Pinctada margaritifera).

This unique origin gives them a naturally dark, iridescent body colour. They are completely untreated, boasting breathtaking overtones of peacock green, midnight blue, aubergine, and metallic silver - just gorgeous 😍

The ring featured here is a Tahitian pearl and diamond ring from our Corona Collection, where each piece is fully customisable according to stone preference.
