Anthony W Pearce Jewellers

Anthony started his career in the jewellery trade in 1972 working in an independent jewellers and pawnbrokers in North London. It was a very busy environment where Anthony learnt all aspects of the business with particular interest in precious stones, quality jewellery, valuations and a large emphasis on customer service. It was always the intention of Anthony’s to own his own shop and in 1976 the

opportunity came about. So in 1976, Anthony W Pearce Jewellers was founded in the original shop situated in Ramsgate, Kent. The most important aspect of his new business was customer service which today is still the same. The Canterbury shop was purchased in 1987 where it had been a jewellers for many years - FW Days which local residents will remember well. Karl who is now a director of the company started work at FW Days in 1974 straight from school. Karl was also taught the old values of the retail trade which is still very present today customer service. Andy has been in the jewellery trade since 1989 and came to work for Anthony in 1997 when during 2003 he left for new pastures. Andy was later working on six star cruise ships selling jewellery and has now returned to Anthony W Pearce Jewellers as a jewellery designer. Christine and Fiona although more recent to the jewellery trade have spent all of their time in the retail trade working for a family run department store again where customer service was paramount.
