A gentle reminder...
I know working by appointment only isn't the traditional way many people expect a jeweller to operate. It's completely understandable to assume you can simply pop in during normal business hours, and for many years that's exactly how most jewellery shops have worked.
The reality is that my business is a little different.
Unfortunately, I can't accommodate walk-ins, and I don't honour unplanned visits. If I'm not expecting you, I may be teaching, with another client, working on commissions or repairs, attending an exhibition or meeting, out posting orders, or simply not at the studio that day.
Working by appointment allows me to give every customer my full attention, protect dedicated making time, and maintain a calm, organised environment for myself, my clients and for Bonny, my reactive rescue dog, who is sometimes at the studio with me.
I've shared a few slides explaining some of the many reasons behind my appointment-only policy, not because I expect everyone to know how my business works, but to help explain why I've chosen this way of working.
Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support. It really does allow me to provide the personal service, care and craftsmanship that I want every customer to receive. ❤️
If you'd like to visit the studio, whether it's for a commission, repair, consultation, scrap appointment or to browse the gallery, simply book online via the website or get in touch via email / whatsapp to arrange a time that suits us both.
Bonny is my much-loved rescue dog, and she is sometimes at the studio with me.
She has come on leaps and bounds since joining our family, but she's still reactive when meeting new people and has absolutely zero concept of personal space! If she likes you, she'll probably want to be your best friend within minutes.
When you book your appointment online, there's a space to let me know your preference. If you'd rather Bonny wasn't at the studio during your visit, that's absolutely fine just let me know, and I'll make sure she's elsewhere. Equally, if you're happy to meet her and help with her o
