🌟 Latest Commission 🌟
Picked up earlier this week, this ribbon ring was not my usual style so took me out of my comfort zone. But I’m so so chuffed with it!! It looks very delicate but is actually pretty solid and the added diamond is just such a pretty, sparkly detail!!!
It was a gift and I was so relieved to get the text yesterday saying she loves it!!! Phew!! I’m always so in awe of people that put their trust in me. The imposter syndrome does creep in every now but it doesn’t stop me doing what I love!!!

🌟 Bespoke Wedding Ring 🌟
I had a lovely chat with a couple in Bovey at the Sarah James MBE in June. They were getting married and were looking for an unusual/bespoke wedding ring for him.
They spied my coin rings and we came up with a plan! His grandpa collected coins and so they wondered if I would turn one of these treasured coins into his wedding ring.
Well, if you’ve been here a while, you’ll know this is my fav request. Sentimental treasure that lives on!!! What could be better.
So I was sent a few coins and they trusted me to choose the best one that would work. No pressure 😂
I chose an 1849 Florin. The detail was still pretty crisp and had not worn away. And I set about turning it into a coin ring.
It’s actually not as easy as it might seem. My customer wanted it to be 8mm wide, with flat sides and of course a specific size. He also wanted it blackened - I love how this finish really brings out the detailing.
Of course the pressure with this one was that if I messed up, I would have messed up a treasured coin, an heirloom treasure. So it was a bit scary!!! I just went slowly and took my time. And hey presto.
I love it!!! I love the story. And I was so chuffed to get this fab feedback. I’m so honoured to be trusted with things like this! 🌟

🌟 Workshops 🌟
Next weekend we’re making a set of 5 skinny rings on Saturday and 3 stacking rings on Sunday.
There are a few spaces left…….i will be removing the listing first thing on Wednesday so do book it sooner rather than later!!!
My workshops are for complete beginners, everything including free parking is in the price and you can even get a discount from the Deli, our onsite cafe.

🌟 Friday Fabulousness🌟
A new commission to share with you.
My customer came in with two signet rings. He wore one, it was a family heirloom and had that wonderful worn feel. The other was a new one but no one in the family liked it.
So the question was, could I make a replica of the heirloom with a worn feel and slightly different engraving and use the gold from the newer one no one wanted.
Challenge accepted. 😎
I started by making the basic shape in wax. After the customer approved the wax shaping and size, it was sent to my caster and they cast the ring up for me.
It came back, I cleaned up the casting and polished it, ready for assay and the deep seal engraving.
These bespoke pieces are teamwork!!! I couldn’t do them without my wonderful collaborators. The engraving was done by the amazing we’ve worked together for a long time and her work has been impeccable every single time 🥰.
The new signet ring turned out beautifully. My customer was very happy and a new heirloom was born, with a fab story behind it!!!

🌟 The Loire Valley 2026 🌟
Well what a couple of weeks I’ve had. Straight from Bovey to France!!!! The chateaus of the Loire Valley didn’t disappoint but the holiday was far from perfect!!!!
We hit temperatures of 43c. And we struggled. But so did France. Nothing was open. We struggled to find cafes, restaurants etc that were open. So we adapted and ate more at the cabin. The cabin was supposed to be air conditioned but it couldn’t cope with these temperatures and the pool was heated 🥵. Ice cream shops were closed.
I got a tooth infection (emergency dentist app tomorrow morning) and our car only just made it home, we think the clutch is going 😩😩😩
But as you can see from the pics, we made the most of it and saw some wonderful places. We also met some lovely, helpful people along the way.
Please bear with me this week. I was hoping to go in to the studio tomorrow and reset my shop after Bovey and then re-open on Weds. Unfortunately, everything is now up in the air and it all depends on what happens at the dentist and the garage tomorrow morning.

I’m on my summer break. We’re in France and it is ridiculously hot. Considering sleeping in the car with the air con on tonight.
The cabin we are staying in advertised air con but…..nooooo.
Anyway I’m back in and open on the 1st July. Until then, keep an eye on my stories for my adventures.
