Spring is upon us and how gorgeous it is 🪻🌿

Forgetmenot flowers are starting to rise with the daffodils and tulips 🥰 some of my favourites!

Look forward to pressing again and start making some new jewellery ✨ coming soon! Been on pause for a while with growing a lil human and balancing work and general life but slow craft is upon me and still always working with flowers behind the scenes 😊

Bridal bouquet from July from one of my loveliest friends weddings in Tuscany which I was lucky to ge bridesmaid for. Also another reason why I’ve been so quiet on here after being away 🌸 I actually salvaged a good portion of these home in my case and they survived 🌻

You beauties 🌿🌼🌿🌼🌿

Such gorgeous bridal flowers to work with, can’t wait to see how they turn out for the development and creation stage ✨ so lucky to work with them. The Freesia flowers especially smelt beautiful and seem to be a very current flower I’ve been working with over the last couple of months and very in season.

Top tops for making them preserve to the best they can

✔️ check them regularly in the press/ or their vessel to see how they’re drying or need more absorbent blotting paper if there’s too much moisture.
✔️with thicker flowers like roses, it’s sometimes good to deconstruct them by carefully taking off petals to prevent the flower from rotting. Sometimes heat compression first can work with thicker flowers to dry out some of the water retention in the flower
✔️ most of all embrace it, and do it at a time your most in your creative head space if you can 😊 it helps with the overall flower handling and pressing process 🌿
