I have seen quite a number of posts that talk about being perfectly imperfect. Well that is me and again it isn’t as I can be such a perfectionist!! (Thanks Dad)
I suppose this is me showing a vulnerable side which is against my nature being that usual perfectionist. This can be a good thing when making jewellery but to live by can be a challenge.
This is a photo of me taken a number of years ago in Richmond Park! I was smiling, happy but my necklace moved and my hair wasn’t perfect but do you know what… it carries my energy through the photograph, feminine, happy and romantic. .
I love making a family photograph for our Christmas cards and send out about 100! Last year that didn’t happen and a few people missed them but on the other side I managed a small gathering of some of my girlfriends and didn’t have such a burnout in Jan/feb. This is such a busy time being a jeweller and having all 3 of my direct family member’s birthdays in the 3 week run up to Christmas, not including, Christmas calendars, my bro’s birthday on Boxing Day and so on!
So I let it give. Well we have had a family shoot in the spring and summer this year… making up for it. Hopefully will get the photos back this or next week. So you will have some updated ones of me.
This week I am decluttering my office. Francis bacon eat your heart out. Well I am not that bad but have been a work in progress! Thanks .artist and for getting us together!
So I juggle family life, jewellery and my latest finding joy- over the last few years has been learning to be a sound healer .school . They have been amazing and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Funnily enough one half is named Joy✨…. Need I say more!
So I was so exhausted last night and this morning however I did a short meditation to reenergise and set my vibes and held my first official 1:1 sound bath. It was a short half hour with one person. They have been going for 15 years to sound baths and she loved it. She said it was very gentle and relaxing and what she needed. She loved the different instruments I use and even my voice and the way I held the session.
