So here’s one I finished a few weeks ago…

Not my usual kind of commission, but I thought why not? Obviously I love a bird and I’m getting into painting more now, and the customer wanted something a little different for a special wedding anniversary

The brief was silver bird with frame to compliment cornishware pottery - I think we nailed it? Wax carved and cast in silver with hand painted reverse box frame. What do you think?

If you have any out of the box ideas, let me know and I’ll definitely give them consideration …

A change of venue for tomorrow’s - slightly more inviting than my poor pink shop at the moment.

Come around and see me at the lovely who have offered to put me up for the day - I’ll have a limited selection but happy to discuss other needs for when I return to normal. (Hopefully I’ll have an update next week!)

Well a lot of you will already know we had a bit of an accident yesterday on Alexandra Road, but thankfully no one was hurt too badly, just a few bumps and bruises and a bit of shock…

However my Birdsmith shop has had a bit of a battering and will be closed for the moment - until I’ve had the assessor in to give me the low down and timescale for getting it back to it’s beautiful self.

I’ve taken all the jewellery out and any other valuables, so at least I will be able to do some pop ups in the meantime - I may even be able to start posting some collections on my website as I now have some spare time?
But obviously if there was any ready to wear pieces you previously spotted which you would like to purchase, do get in touch with me - I can deliver locally or post to further afield. And it would really help me out to be brutally honest…

I will obviously keep you all posted but I can’t get in the shop so my commissions will be delayed as I don’t have access all my kit/tools.

Apologies to all but I will sort some pop up dates and venues out and let you know as soon as I can…
Workshops are delayed for now, I am trying to sort another venue in the meantime. Bear with me and I’ll give you as much notice as I can.

Lots of paperwork and sorting to do the next few days so I may not reply immediately but do either message me or send an email to [email protected] and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can

I’m really bored of this now - but the more people I speak to, the more they have said I need to get more rest etc etc.

I’m trying! Trying to get the balance right but I can honestly say I’m still exhausted - so for now I’m staying on reduced opening hours to try and keep me functioning as well as providing the lovely jewels for you all …

I’m so grateful for all the lovely messages and support and for understanding the situation - I can’t wait to be fighting fit again and I will get all your orders done as soon as I can.

Open Wednesday- Saturday 10.30-2pm - just for now

Can I ask you all a favour - we’re fighting against paid parking in Clevedon.
This is what they’re proposing and we’ve argued that we’re mainly independents that can’t cope with a downturn in footfall/visitors… .
They’re basically saying it’s to make traffic flow better (we don’t have any issues at all) and we know perfectly well it’s because they’re trying to make back all the money they wasted on the seafront debacle-
Our reasons for not having it include
bad for infrastructure (conservation area, meters will look awful)
Another huge waste of money
Will drive people to go elsewhere (cribbs)
Terrible phone signal for app parking. And older visitors who don’t have smart phones
No disabled parking allowances - they have to pay
No half hour free parking which will not allow residents to quickly pop and get bread/milk/pick something up etc
