Another pre-Xmas project - changing broken plastic handles for spalted wooden ones.

Took the plastic off and soaked the blades in white vinegar to clean up and remove residue, cut wood handles to shape, router trimmed edges, sanded and sealed to 240 grit, edge in slot to receive blades and use 2 part epoxy to set them in, allow to harden and finished with several coats of Tung Oil.

Knives came out nice and back in use.

Happy New Year all.

Little fun project we did back in November, 3 x pill / tablet / mint boxes.

The boxes were bought in from a supplier we use and we added the wood tops, 2 rounds are Sumac, the long is Chestnut. Wood is sanded, sealed and waxed.

Anybody want or use pill boxes, these 3 are available to purchase at a give away bargain of £30 inc Tracked P&P.

We literally make no money on this, they were made to trial the boxes for future possibilities.

Recently bought a new chuck for the lathe and decided to try it out.

Took a piece of wood destined for the fire and turned this small lidded pot, nothing special, just a quick trial of the new chuck for a bit of fun.

Not turned any wooden pens for sometime and had cause to do some last weekend plus a couple of others as we had some nice figured blanks to work with.

Twist style slim line pens, from the left, Chrome, Gold, Gun Metal, Rose Gold and a different style Gold kit - All hardwood bodies, hard waxed finish.

Numbers 1, 3 & 4 are already taken by 3 happy customers but 2 & 5 are available £20 each plus postage UK.

We're saving for a new laser engraver for personalised and Military logo's so will be releasing a few more new pens shortly.

Well its been more than a difficult year all around for most and we've faced near closure through lockdowns to almost full closure through catching COVID and hospitalisation !!..........but we've bounced back, restructured our business and are in a now stronger position than before !

Much of that has been through the sheer support of our regular customers throughout 2021 !

From that, we liked to wish you and your families the utmost best over the Festive Season and hopefully find some time to reflect and enjoy yourselves.

We'll be back in 2022, and releasing lots of new designs we're currently working on and expanding the business in other directions as well.

We're not taking a break as such, just easing up a little for a short break over the weekend, so if you still want something that Santa never got you, feel free to contact me.

Xmas 2021 is fast approaching (dare I say it !)......we're trying to clear out a lot of our pens and bottle stoppers, that we basically haven't put on here this year much at all due to lockdowns and COVID hitting us hard.

Workshop time has been pretty much non-existent as a result so we're not producing new pens this season but looking to clear our older stock.

All items shown just £25.00 inc P&P UK, foreign deliveries at cost. These are also shown on some other sites so please contact us to reserve and pay for the item you'd like to purchase.

Its been a difficult 5-6 weeks with COVID running wild through the family household and myself getting problems from it and being hospitalised for a while and also having some adverse effects from COVID medications given to me. However I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support in this period.

I am re-starting the business from next week, however I'm still not fully up to strength health wise and have been told to take a couple of months out, obviously that's a non starter, so will be easing back into production over several weeks so I'll take your jobs on but you'll have to bear with me time wise on how long they will take, especially any bespoke orders.

Slim display / charcuterie boards, made with various hardwoods, sanded too 600 grit and finished with 3 x soakings of food safe mineral oils, which it is advised to re-apply periodically to maintain their look.

The attached pics will have the individual board dimensions and hardwoods used along with prices to purchase.

These boards must not be placed in a dish washer to clean, it is advised to damp cloth wipe only to avoid warping.

Well its been a very difficult year all around for everyone with many trial and tribulations to overcome along the way.
