I was delighted to make this seaglass necklace for Helen, as a surprise leaving gift from her work friends. What a thoughtful gift!

So I crafted a 3 piece bezel set necklace with a centre seafoam seaglass pebble and accompanied by 2 smaller white pebbles.
I've cut and filed that wave into the backplate of the centre piece so you can enjoy the colour of it as the sun shines through..
There are also wave lines on the back of the smaller ones, these are roller printed with a feather.. yes a feather! Fantastic isn't it x

And she loves it, which is all I needed to hear!

Hi there!
I'm thrilled to welcome some new viewers to my page! I thought it's about time for a fresh introduction..
I'm Sammy, I'm a passionate Silversmith/jeweller and tutor. Mum of 4 and previous Mental Health Nurse, I live in Dorset with my husband, Easter the cat and 3 guinea pigs 😻.
I design and make thoughtful jewellery in silver, gold and gemstones. My inspiration comes from all around me, landscape, clouds, trees, coastline, anywhere in the spirit of nature. I'm so lucky to live in such a beautiful place as the stunning Dorset coast. I feel the grounding elements of nature are essential in coping with today's world. Art in all forms feeds my inspiration especially primitive, prehistory and subjects with a focus on animism.
Born in Manchester, grew up and although I still sometimes miss the northern hills, I'm so happy with my own Dorset Hill, 🙂. Hahaa hence the name 🤭 'be happy where you are now' stuff!

I've been teaching for a few years now (goodness, since we were just back on it after Covid!) and I absolutely love it! Seeing students skills and styles develop and to share the thrills, laughs and tears along the way, really is an honour I think.

I'm totally self taught, and it never stops. There's so so so much to learn in working with silver and gold, it's a total joy to create with it. Gemstones, okay where do you start? Sometimes I think perhaps I do this whole thing just so I get to buy them, handle them, look at them, learn their names and characteristics, just love them. ❤️

I began with an Etsy shop back in 2015, now my work is available on my website (link in bio) and just directly via msg too.
I teach at her gorgeous cozy studio in the beautiful countryside out near Dorchester. Small groups of 6, morning and evening classes.

Im also a Visiting tutor at Arts University Bournemouth, where I teach stage 1 Silversmithing.

When I'm not working you can find me walking the coast or woods, horseriding, conversing with our large wild gardenwatching movie doin croche or out on my new kayak!

I was teaching a silver bangle workshop today.

Wr had some stunning results! Amazing pieces of precious jewellery that will last forever xx Thanks everyone for being awesome learners today!
Look what you can make, even as a total beginner to metal working.
I take each small step in turn and there's no rush.. enjoy the process and therapeutic elements of working the metal..
Then.. ta-daa! Look!

Bespoke workshops or jewellery parties, what a lovely idea! A fantastic way to spend a day with family or friends and leave with a solid piece of silver jewellery.. solid memories!

Happy to give Alex's ring a resize, polish and re texture!
Lovely Alex was one of my very first customers and this ring has been loved and worn through work and play for several years. It was originally a fully hammered texture and this had worn away over this time, quite surprising to see really, it was totally smoothed out.
Here it is smooth and repolished and then following a tink tink tink with my ball pein hammer to give it that light scattering sparkle!
All ready for you Alex!
