The making of Molten Edge. This design was first made 40 years ago in our opening year of 1986. It's devleoped over the years but retains the premise of a highly polished molten metal edge and a textured central section. Here we're melting 18ct yellow gold wire onto the ring to create a totally unique pattern - this is a display version you'll be able to see at our ICONS event from 16-18 July at our Smithbrook Kilns store. The very last few pieces of our Flowerbell collection are out on the shelves today. These two feature the stunning quartz chalchedony with it's typical light blue almost translucent lustre - they look amazing next to all of the bluebells out at Smithbrook Kilns right now. And yes - we do have some tiny matching earrings!

What a delight to work on these bespoke earrings for a very special birthday for our wonderful customer. Central opals with a halo of marquise diamonds, holding a chandelier of pale blue sapphire, diamond and drop pearl.
