I have always been a really creative person with a wild imagination from a young age, making clothes, immersing myself in textiles and design, loving pattern and colour, which is reflected in my home and my own style. This love of design and colour has carried on throughout my life and now as a 53-year-old woman with a new lust for life after redundancy, Sassy Upcycling has been created. I feel connected to nature and the planet so I have always recycled things and saved special pieces from going to landfill. I love sourcing wonderful things from charity shops, estate sales and flea markets for things I can upcycle to create something new and wonderful for my home and for you to wear. Creating jewellery is the fizz inside my being and I make pieces every day inspired by the world around me. I love the magic of taking treasures apart to create something new that will look amazing on my wonderful customers and knowing it will be loved for many years to come. I passionately believe everything we use or make must be sustainable and all my work is made from as many recycled elements as possible, with the exception of earring wires which are silver plated to maintain quality and reduce issues of skin sensitivity.
