Well, the day has finally come.

After 100 years of W.E Cro & Son in Crowborough High Street it’s time for us to say goodbye. After 3 generations of Cro’s owning the shop it’s time for us to retire.

We would like to say a massive thank you to every single customer over the years and especially to those who have been in with such kind words over the last few weeks, it has meant the world to us knowing how much you have enjoyed our presence and we will miss you all!

We are here today with a bit of stock left so please do pop in and see us!

Good evening to all our wonderful followers and supporters.

W.E. Cro & Son has been part of Crowborough High Street since 1924 and before Cro’s it was Closs Jewellers for 12 years.

Over the last 100 years, 3 generations of Cro have owned and run the shop, with Jim & Carolyn in charge in recent years and with Sue retiring 8 years ago.

After 48 years this February, of Jim fixing watches and clocks, alongside his father, and serving many customers in the shop with his family, it is time for a rest and it is with a heavy heart we announce that as of the 28th March 2024, Jim will be retiring and W.E. Cro & Son will be closing.

We will be holding a closing down sale from now until the final day and look forward to seeing all our wonderful customer again during this time.

We would like to say a huge thank you everyone who has supported us over the last 100 years and we hope we have the opportunity to say thank you in person.

Calling all Craft people !
We are delighted to be supporting the Sewing Crow Bee’s 🐝 with their latest challenge .
If you can help, or have surplus balls of wool (100% Acrylic for easy washing) please drop them in. We are a collection point for both the wool and completed squares. We have the pattern available too if anybody would like to help knit or crochet some squares.
These blankets will be given to people who will struggle this winter with heating bills and also to the Community First Responders to hand out if they visit people who need some extra warmth.
