✨ Stepped away from my bench today and spent the most wonderful day with the Guild of Enamellers, region 6 in Bristol.

I attended a fantastic workshop exploring enamel painting - line and wash, a process I've never tried before but thoroughly enjoyed. There is always something exciting about being a beginner again and discovering new possibilities.

Surrounded by such an amazing group of talented and knowledgeable women who were so generous in sharing their skills and experience. Feeling inspired, energised, and looking forward to exploring this technique further. ❤️

Today I had the most amazing call with my mentor, Michael Milloy, going through all my Term 3 marking for the Fine Jewellery Diploma I sent off in July… and wow!! Seeing everything again. I'd honestly forgotten half of what I handed in! ... It was such a fab moment.

I’m completely overwhelmed by his comments and feedback — especially hearing him say my final collection was V&A worthy!!
Such an incredible compliment from a world‑renowned jeweller, and I’m still trying to process it.

And while it’s never been about chasing grades … I smashed it!! Especially my final project ... 50/50 ... Full blinking marks ... Gold star me ⭐

Sometimes it’s so easy to only spot the faults in my work … and forget just how far I’ve come - Today was a very lovely reminder 🥰

I'm already playing catch‑up (obviously), but with the first week of teaching, George’s graduation, and moving Elizabeth to Swansea Uni … it couldn’t be helped.

Here’s to the next chapter — more learning, more making, more skills ... more magic ✨

Bursting with pride and just had to share ... Going to be seeing a little less of my helper at events.

Elizabeth only went and secured 1 of just 3 places at her first‑choice university, Swansea to study Nuclear medicine.

My heart can’t cope 🥹 Watching her work for this and absolutely smash it … I’m just so proud of her ✨
