Three small birds, three quiet moments. 🐦

My new greetings cards are here: sparrow, goldfinch and bullfinch.
These aren’t far-flung, once-in-a-lifetime sightings. They’re the birds that turn up in gardens and hedgerows, easy to overlook until you stop and really watch. That’s what I love about them. Wonder isn’t always on the other side of the world. Sometimes it’s a few steps from your back door.

They were photographed in a Pembrokeshire garden, with a waterway thriving with wildlife on one side and an oil refinery on the other. Tiny birds, completely still, right in the middle of it all.

Treasure comes in many forms. For some it’s financial but for me this find certainly counts as treasure. Something you can’t replace and is deeply connected to me on so many levels.

I’ve just come across some of my gran’s sewing, along with a little note in her handwriting. Ordinary things, perhaps, but suddenly they don’t feel ordinary at all.

The stitches she made, the words she wrote, the small details of a life that carried on long before I understood the world — all these years later, they’re still here.

I don’t remember her sending me these or if she packaged them up and left them for me to find after she passed. But she did know that I love sewing. It’s so touching that this little envelope represents a moment in time when she thought of me and my interests.

Time moves on, generations pass, and so much is lost along the way. But sometimes, the smallest things survive. A scrap of fabric, albeit a bit stained and yellowed now. A handwritten note. Something made by hand, patiently and with purpose.

And for a moment, the distance between then and now feels a little smaller. I feel her close again.

I’m trying to declutter my life and keep it simple, but these things will stay with me always. I think that’s one of the beautiful things about keeping meaningful things. They’re not just objects; they’re little fragments of history, holding memories and connections we might otherwise never have known.

A reminder that a life leaves traces, often in the most unexpected places. 🤍

A little work in progress… 🌊✨

Inspired by the ever-changing colours of the ocean, this bracelet is slowly coming to life, one tiny bead at a time. Handwoven using exquisite Japanese Miyuki glass beads, with just a touch of gold to catch the light like the sun dancing on the sea.

Every bead is stitched by hand onto silk thread—a slow, mindful process that transforms hundreds of tiny beads into something beautifully wearable.

I can’t wait to share the finished piece with you. 💙

Some pieces carry a story…

This shark tooth has been cast from a tooth I found while I was diving in the tropical waters of Australia. It is a reminder of time spent beneath the surface, surrounded by the wild beauty of the ocean.

Once belonging to a dusky whaler shark, it has been carefully cast in solid silver, preserving every detail of the original shape and texture. What was once lost to the sea has been transformed into something to treasure.

A piece inspired by adventure, saltwater, and the stories we collect along the way.
