Baby Loss Awareness Week is personal for us too.

Both Lauren and I have experienced miscarriage, so when we talk about baby loss, we're not only thinking about the families we work with. We're remembering our own babies too.

For me, my pregnancy test was the only physical proof I had that my pregnancy ever existed. I kept it because I couldn't bear to throw away something that represented a baby I had already imagined and loved. Look how excited I was in this picture!

It's also one of the reasons this part of what we do means so much to us.

However early the loss, however little there is to physically hold onto, that baby mattered. That pregnancy mattered. And your story matters.

Sometimes this is all you have.

No scan photos.
No tiny clothes.
No hospital bracelet.
No photographs.

Just two little lines that changed everything.

For some parents, a pregnancy test is the only physical reminder that their baby existed. Something so ordinary to everyone else, but something they simply can't bring themselves to throw away.
