✨ Things people don't realise about being an independent jeweller ✨

A day can include sourcing gemstones, CAD designs, emails, consultations, polishing, packaging, problem-solving, tea-fuelled admin… and somewhere in between, actually making jewellery. Each bespoke piece has hours behind it, often long before the finished piece is ready for its new home.

But I wouldn't change this dream job for the world! 💫

Green gemstones: which one is right for you? 💚

Three stunning gemstones: green sapphire, green tourmaline and emerald (from left to right) ✨

It can be hard to choose which is right for you, so let's break it down!

Durability: Sapphire is the most durable, followed by emerald, and then tourmaline. All are durable enough for daily wear, but sapphire is the best choice if you're looking for low maintenance.

Colour and clarity: Emeralds display a consistently deep, saturated green, whilst sapphires and tourmalines can be found in a range of green tones from teal to sage and everything in between.

Affordability: Emeralds are the most expensive due to their rarity, whilst Green sapphires offer an excellent, durable middle ground, and Green tourmaline is the most affordable, providing large, brilliant stones at a fraction of the cost.
