Not jewellery related, but I am at my bench 😉
Let me introduce myself if we’ve not met yet. . I’m Claire - jewellery designer and maker. I work in Sterling Silver mainly, using accents of gold, gemstones and pearls. I’m one of the team at Derry Designer Makers, and you may also have seen me exhibit at many Fine and Dandy markets across the North.
I’m working hard on overcoming my camera-shyness. And since I’m always the one taking pics, it’s only fair I get on the other side of the lens ( even if this is just the once )
We are all our own biggest critics, and will find flaws in how we look, that no-one else cares about. But believe me there comes a time when you won’t care. I’m almost there.
So here I am, no makeup, no hair-do and no trending filters. Just me at my happy place. 😊

A wee bit of up-skilling today, with flush setting practice. This is an Oakleaf adjustable band I’d made for myself, but thought it needed a bit of sparkle. I’ve flush set the tiny 2mm Amethyst, but who knows I could probably end up setting more around it 😆

It’s really hard not to share when I’ve completed a special piece. Finished yesterday in time for my sisters birthday, but she was celebrating today, so I had to wait!!

The blue stone is Amazonite ( named after the colour of the Amazon 😉) Added to the lovely Jaqueline’s T-bar necklace today. This particular size ring could take up to 4 maybe 5 charms added, great for making it personal. ✨ | sterling Silver, bespoke jewellery , made local |

The plan right now is to bring these into the shop tomorrow, but they’re really screaming keep me! 🫣 there’s so much vibrancy in these two little amber stones when light hits them, no need for a fancy setting, just a simple sterling cup.
