❤️👑🙌We’ve had a few enquires and orders for Claddagh Jewellery, so here’s a bit of information about its significance. ❤️👑🙌

The Claddagh ring originated in the ancient fishing village of Claddagh outside Galway City in Ireland, and was traditionally passed down from mother to daughter. Featuring two hands holding a crowned heart, the ring is worn on the right hand with heart out to show single or in to show taken status, and on the left ring finger pointing inward to denote marriage.

Photos show a gorgeous Claddagh ring in Silver with a Peridot stone and a solid gold ring, prices from £45 for a plain silver ring.

The primary birthstone for August is vibrant, lime-green Peridot, historically used to protect the wearer from evil spirits.
Peridot can be found in hardened lava and in meteorites, but is surprisingly soft (as gems go) so it is not recommended for daily use in a ring.
