We do enjoy making things unnecessarily shiny. 💎

The Pearlescent Square Statement Earrings have golden vintage studs, delicate connectors and pearlescent square drops that catch the light beautifully.

They're geometric, but not aggressively so.

A little bit fancy, a little bit space-age and, frankly, quite a lot of square.

We had these particular bits and this is what they became. Sometimes that's the entire creative process.

🤍 These are doing “quietly fancy” quite well.

The Golden Pearl Hoop Drop Earrings combine pearl hoops with hammered golden triangle charms, giving them a lovely mix of softness and texture.

The hammered finish adds just enough irregularity to stop them looking too polished, while the pearls give them that slightly vintage feel.

They're the sort of earrings that could work with jeans just as easily as something a bit smarter.

Basically, they're making a strong case for being useful.

And yes, we only made one pair. Not because we're trying to create artificial scarcity. We just don't have a pearl hoop factory in the shed (hell, we don’t even have a shed!) 😂

We had some rhinestones.

We had some golden studs.

Things escalated.

The Zebra 80s Earrings are part zebra, part disco and part “what on earth are those?”

The original beads came from a pair of vintage earrings, which we dismantled and gave a completely new job.

That's one of the things we love about upcycling. You never quite know what something is going to become.

These certainly weren't on anyone's original career path.

The 80s Red Drop Earrings have bold matte red charms, glass beads and vintage golden studs, giving them a proper retro feel without being overly fussy.

They're chunky, bright and unapologetically 80s. The sort of earrings that don't really do subtle.

And because we only had these particular vintage bits to work with, there’s just one pair. Once they're gone, that's it.

A proper little hit of retro red. ❤️

The Not Your Nana’s Fine Bone China Earrings are made with ceramic beads, imitation pearls and some rather lovely gold charms.

They've got that slightly fancy, slightly old-fashioned china cabinet thing going on, but without actually looking like something you’d expect to find in one.

We like earrings that make you look twice. These definitely do that.

£20, and considerably more useful than putting them behind glass.

❄️ A rare sighting of silver at The Shiny Corner.

We do love gold, but every now and then silver gets its moment.

The Icy Drop Silver Earrings have rhinestone snowflake-style floral studs with white and blue cat's eye beads. They're cool, crisp and very sparkly without being particularly Christmassy.

Basically, snowflakes without the inconvenience of actual snow.

And while there are now 150+ pairs on the website, that's still only part of the collection. We take 500+ pairs to markets, including loads that never make it online.

So if you see the boxes, have a rummage. The website is the sensible option. The boxes are where the strange stuff lives. 😂

Tiny enamel cherries, emerald green crystals, hammered star connectors and a healthy disregard for restraint.

The Decadent Cherry Pick Earrings are exactly the sort of thing that happens when we put a pile of shiny objects on the table and start playing.

There wasn't a grand plan.

There was just a cherry.

Then there was a crystal.

Then things escalated.

I bought a necklace because I liked the bits on it and planned to dismantle it for jewellery making.

I dismantled it.

Then I realised it was an actual Ted Baker necklace.

At that point there wasn't much to be done other than say “hey ho” and carry on. 😂

So the original rose gold, dark pink and fuchsia pieces became these Ted Baker Who? Statement Earrings, with red rhinestones and golden studs added to the mix.

There was one necklace.

There is now one pair of earrings.

That's not a clever marketing strategy. That's just what happened 🙈

And if you're coming to see us at a market, bring along any unwanted or broken jewellery you've got lurking in a drawer. We'll give you 10% off your purchase and happily take the old stuff away to see what we can make from it.

🦋 These are giving “just one more thing” and then you've covered yourself in pink.

The Sparkly Pink Butterfly Earrings have vintage gold-tone studs, sparkly pink butterfly beads and little acrylic roses.

They're cheerful, a little bit excessive and very committed to the colour pink.

We're not entirely sure where the line between “pretty” and “too much” is.

We suspect these have crossed it, but we're fine with that.

And if you've ever seen us at a market, you'll know that the website doesn't show everything. We've got 500+ pairs in person, all packed into those boxes you're supposed to rummage through.

Go on. You know you want to.
