An other wonderful weaving workshop Gartmore House. From learning the basics to exploring a personal project. All taking place in the historic Gartmore House, Stirlingshire. The workshops had both complete beginners to more experience weavers. That was the last workshop for 2026 but looking forward to 2027 when there are 4 workshops planed through the year. Introduction to Tapestry Weaving. Weekend workshop 3rd /4/th October with tapestry artist Fiona Hutchison. Workshops are held at her WASPs studio, Patriothall Stockbridge, Edinburgh and run from 10 to 4pm each day. All materials and use of equipment is included. Tapestry weaving workshops. Join me in my Edinburgh studio for a series of tapestry workshops. From Introduction to Tapestry Techniques to exploring a range of materials and techniques experimenting with colour, surface and mark making in weave.. the first workshop is introduction to tapestry on 3rd/4th October. Loom thinking:materials and making. Tapestry workshop. What a great work shop we had last week at Studio 114. An international workshop with students from USA, Luxembourg, Devon and Scotland. Exploring the materials and techniques of the great tapestry artist Abakanowicz and Hicks. The students fully embraced the experimental approach of responding to materials and working directly on to the loom with a wide verity of less traditional materials. Look out for dates of the next workshops and the up and coming winter program of events. www.fionahutchison.co.uk

Delighted to be showing my tapestry Tide II in the RSA 200 exhibition academy Celebrating 200 years of supporting contemporary art. This exciting and vibrant exhibition showcase a wide range of art and is free to visit. Exhibition is open until the 14th June.
