Enniskillen Lakelanders ASC is a competitive swimming club based at the Forum, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland and is affiliated to Swim Ireland - the governing body for the whole of Ireland. By virtue of the affiliation of the club to Swim Ireland, its members acknowledge that they are subject to the laws, rules and constitutions of:
• Swim Ireland.
• Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN), the Europea
n governing body for the aquatics.
• Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA), the world governing body for the aquatics. Enniskillen ASC is based at the Lakeland Forum Leisure Centre. The Club has a great history of producing national champions and international performers. Advanced training and competition is provided at various levels for all age groups of competitive and non-competitive swimmers. As progress is made our head coach shall ultimately decide when and how each swimmer progresses through the groups in accordance with the progression pathway agreed by the coaches committee. A copy of the progression pathway can be found on the noticeboard in the forum and appendix (2) attached. The club is an inclusive club that provides individual swimmers with identity and although our goal is to produce swimmers at international standard, we also endeavour to keep our swimmers involved in sport for as long as possible, at whatever level suits them. The club attempts to provide space for swim fit, masters and tri-athletes as well as competitive swimmers. We have seen our numbers swell and this has proved challenging with the pool time we have available. As such every year there will be a natural transition. The club expects parents to support this and understand this vital process. At all times the decisions that are made will be for the greater good of the club.
