Our Story
Our mission is to be part of the solution of tackling the problem of plastics in our ocean.
More than eight million tonnes of plastic reaches the ocean every year. It is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050, creating an environment that will be inhospitable and potentially fatal for the vast proportion of sea life. Currently 100,000 marine mammals and turtles and one million sea birds are killed by marine plastic pollution annually and the numbers are ever increasing. Over 150 plastic bottles and 5,000 items of marine plastic pollution litter each mile of UK beaches, and most of this will eventually be washed into the ocean.
How do we make a difference?
We contribute 20% of overall profits to The Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, which is one of the world’s leading non-profit ocean cleanup organisations. They work to clear plastics from our oceans, protect marine wildlife, provide free educational resources, and support the development of innovative technologies to combat plastic pollution. The Big Blue Ocean Cleanup aims to inspire every generation to take action and protect our blue planet.
