Alida May creates highly individual, personalised, ‘statement’ jewellery for discerning clients who require something unique and a little bit special. We have been making and selling jewellery for over 20 years and our one-off creations have now become highly collectible. Our designs are inspired by a fabulous range of semi-precious stones, vintage and crystal cut glass, harmoniously matched with an elegant and contrasting balance of Freshwater Pearls which are integral to our designs. Due to their versatility, pearls range from being the feature of a necklace or the contrast between colours, sizes and shapes to the use of seed pearls as spacers, softening or enhancing the impact of the stones… or to be simply and gloriously by themselves. We use top quality pearls and semi-precious stones in all of our designs, usually with sterling silver or high quality silver-plated findings, with each individual creation reflecting our workmanship and attention to detail. Each piece is authenticated by a sterling silver ‘Alida May’ tag with our ‘Blue Cormorant’ logo. We know that selecting a special piece of jewellery is highly personal so to ease the process each of our designs is divided by colour in our albums.
