Our new happy place 🤍
A few months in, although honestly it still feels like we arrived days ago.
We’re slowly finding our feet and adjusting to a different pace of life out here. Although I’m not sure life actually feels any less busy… renovations are looming, there’s suddenly a lot more house to look after, endless little jobs everywhere I turn, and all the usual school, clubs, work and life admin ticking away in the background.
But then there’s this.
At the end of our lane, everything opens up into the most beautiful old parkland. Ancient copper beeches, enormous oaks, sheep wandering around, and a little stream fed by a natural spring. We walk here all the time and I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how beautiful it is.
The girls made a list the other day of all the different animals we’ve spotted in our garden since moving in. There were 14 so far 🥹 I love that this is becoming their normal.
There is so much to do. So many plans for this place and probably years of projects ahead of us. Some days it does feel overwhelming.
But then we step outside, walk down the lane, and I remember why we did it.
Feeling very lucky to call this little corner of the world home. 🤍
