We are very excited to announce some new Alex Monroe Jewellery designs will be landing
in store soon! We are proud to be stockists for Alex’s beautiful work. We share similar
ethical & sustainable goals, and we want to promote the best of British design &
handmade jewellery. We love and value the individuality & quirkiness of handmade
jewellery over manufactured jewellery! Alex studied jewellery design and trained as a
Goldsmith at Sir John Cass college in London - the same place that our equally talented
Goldsmith and designer Stephen Thomas trained. Those traditional skills of making
everything by hand, (& in Stephen’s case even designing & making his own tools!) is a skill
& craft that goes back centuries. We never use AI & we dont use CAD or 3D printing.
Everything we design & make is done in our workshop; hand fabricated & hand finished in
our Frome workshop. Even when we cast some items when we get repeat orders for
certain designs, it is all hand finished in the work shop at the bench & hand polished to
perfection in the polishing room! We also support Alex Monroe Jewellery because they use
licensed Fairmined Gold. We are also a registered Fairtrade Goldsmith and use Fairtrade
gold, as well as recycled and eco gold and silver. Lets support and celebrate traditional
craft workers, the creatives and the makers! Shop local, support independents, recycle,
