We’re delighted to introduce Serica Watches to James Porter & Son.

Founded in Paris, Serica has become known for its thoughtful approach to watchmaking, creating modern tool watches inspired by military and exploration pieces of the mid-20th century. Every detail has a purpose, resulting in watches that feel robust, refined, and unmistakably distinctive on the wrist.

David talks through a few of his favourite models and explains why the brand has captured the attention of so many enthusiasts.

New in at James Porter & Son

The NOMOS Club Campus has become a favourite amongst collectors looking for something a little different.

Its California dial, hand-wound movement and clean design give it plenty of character, while remaining unmistakably NOMOS. It's a watch that feels equally at home as a first mechanical piece or alongside a far larger collection.

Now available to view and try on in our Glasgow store.

One of the standout releases from Watches & Wonders 2026.

The new Grand Seiko ‘Ushio’ Diver combines the brand’s design language with a textured green dial inspired by the powerful ocean currents surrounding Japan.

Beyond the aesthetics, it also introduces the new in-house 9RB1 Spring Drive UFA calibre, delivering extraordinary accuracy alongside the durability and comfort expected from a modern 300m diver’s watch.

The combination of lightweight titanium construction, ceramic bezel, and beautifully detailed dial made this one of the most talked about pieces of the show for us.

It hasn’t arrived in store yet, but it’s certainly one we’re looking forward to seeing again in person.

When it came to standout watches from Watches & Wonders, we kept finding ourselves drawn back to the Sinn 544.

Its appeal isn't built around bold colours or complicated features, but how well everything has been executed. The 38.5mm bead-blasted steel case, clear and highly legible dial, crown positioned at 4 o'clock, and understated design all combine to create a watch that feels purposeful and refined.

It's a great example of Sinn doing what Sinn does best: focusing on function, clarity, and wearability without unnecessary distractions.

It wouldn’t be a Studio Underd0g watch without a playful twist.

The 02SERIES Full Mo0n feels surprisingly restrained, with textured silver tones, soft blue accents, and a detailed moonphase display sitting beneath a sapphire top dial.

But the real surprise arrives once the light fades.

Constructed using seven layers of custom lume, the dial begins to glow with a floating effect that completely changes the character of the watch on the wrist.

Released in small batches direct to our Argyll Arcade store, this one's full of character.

Bracelet or rubber strap?

The Formex Reef Bahama Blue is one of those watches that completely changes character depending on the strap choice.

On the stainless steel bracelet, it feels more classic and versatile, while the textured rubber strap gives the watch a lighter, more casual feel that suits the collection’s diving heritage perfectly.

It’s a reminder of how much a strap can transform the experience of wearing a watch. So, which are you choosing?

Part of Norqain’s Freedom collection, the Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm blends vintage-inspired design with a more adventurous, easy-going character, pairing warm cream tones with contrasting black sub-dials and subtle pastel detailing.

Available at 40mm, it carries the balanced proportions of a classic sports chronograph while still bringing plenty of personality to the wrist.

A watch that feels equally suited to everyday wear and life outdoors. Who'd like to adventure with this on their wrist?
