You've got a great product. Now you just need to get it in front of the right Scottish retailers.

Sounds simple enough, doesn't it?

But between finding the right contacts, sending emails, following up and trying to get a foot in the door, reaching new stockists can be a pretty time-consuming job.

That's one of the reasons Scotland's Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food & Drink Show exists.

We bring retailers from across Scotland together in Glasgow, giving businesses like yours the opportunity to have those all-important conversations face to face.

And our 2026 numbers tell quite a story...

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 91% of our buyers came from Scotland.

🤝 78% held senior buying or decision-making roles.

📍 Over 350 Scottish towns and locations were represented.

So rather than wondering how to reach retailers in different parts of Scotland, you could be meeting buyers from across the country in one place.

Whether you're hoping to secure your first few Scottish stockists or you're already established and looking to reach more, we'd love to hear what you're working towards.

You don't need to have exhibited before, and you certainly don't need to know all the answers before getting in touch.

Our team is happy to chat through the show, the options available and whether exhibiting makes sense for your business.

We hear this question at trade shows all the time:

“What’s your bestseller?”

But here's one to try instead:

“What gets reordered most?”

A bestseller can tell you what’s popular.

A reorder can tell you what actually worked once it reached the shop floor.

Even better: ask what shops like yours keep coming back for.

It’s a tiny change to the question, but it could make for a much more useful buying conversation.

What do you always ask suppliers when you’re considering a new range?

Would this work in your shop? 👀

Imagine a whole table dedicated to products under £10.

A clever way to encourage those extra little purchases?
A handy spot for affordable gifts?
Or does putting the price front and centre make it feel a bit too bargain-bin?

We’d love to know what you think 👇

👍 Clever impulse-buying idea
👎 Bargain bin vibes

And if you’ve tried something similar in your shop, did it actually work?

Things we’d tell you if we owned a shop… 👀

Buying stock must be one of the only jobs where you have to constantly remind yourself that you are not the customer 😂

It’s so easy to see something, love it and immediately think “I need this in the shop.”

But the better questions might be…

🌟Who is this actually for?
🌟Can I picture one of my customers buying it?
🌟Where would it sit in the shop?
🌟And is it earning its shelf space?

Sometimes the things you’d never take home yourself end up being the things your customers absolutely LOVE.

Retailers — what’s one buying lesson you’ve learned the hard way? 👇

We’d LOVE to hear these.

🏆 Could this be your judging debut?

Every January, before the show opens, a panel of expert retailers get a first look at hundreds of brand new products entered into our Best Product Awards.

Then comes the difficult part... deciding who deserves Gold, Silver and Bronze. 🥇🥈🥉

We're now looking for retailers from across Scotland to join our judging panel and sponsors, The Home and Gift Association , at Scotland's Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food & Drink Show 2027.

We're keen to hear from buyers representing:

✨ Lifestyle stores
✨ Large or small businesses - every perspective matters.

Retailers, we’d genuinely love your input on this one.

Taking a day out of the business isn’t always easy — especially when there’s a shop to run, staff to organise and approximately 847 other things needing your attention.

So what makes a buying trip genuinely worth it?

Is it discovering something you wouldn’t have found otherwise? Having proper conversations with suppliers? Getting everything done in one day? Coming home feeling inspired? Or something completely different?

And what puts you OFF making the trip?

👇 Give us the good, the bad and the brutally honest in the comments. We’re all ears.

🐝 Jak was as cool as can bee, while Stacey wasn’t quite ready to become the bees’ new bestie!

A few swats, a couple of quick escapes…she found the courage to stand next to the hive eventually 🤣👏🏻

Huge thanks to our Directors Mark & Becky for letting us be part of the swarm. Safe to say we have a newfound appreciation of these tiny but mighty pollinators.

Who do you think you’d be?

If Scotland is an important market for your brand, are you making it easy for Scottish buyers to find you?

Yes, many Scottish retailers visit shows down south — but increasingly, many don't.

As travel budgets tighten, we're hearing from more retailers who are choosing to stay closer to home and put their buying budgets into visiting Scotland's Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food & Drink Show instead.

⭐The brands that see the biggest opportunities in Scotland are the ones making the effort to be here.⭐

Exhibiting in Glasgow isn't about replacing the bigger UK trade shows. It's about making sure you're reaching the buyers who aren't travelling south—and reinforcing relationships with those who are.

If you're planning your 2027 trade show calendar, we'd love to tell you why Scotland's Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food & Drink Show deserves a place on it.
