Another beautiful piece out today!
Sarah contacted me to see if I could do anything with a very sentimental earring for her. Unfortunately, the other earring had been lost and she was missing wearing them.
Sarah wanted to turn the remaining earring into a pendant, not fussy for keeping the metal but the beautiful ceramic disc that it held. We had a chat about what she would like and from there came up with a lovely simple design that showcases the ceramic beautifully.
Once I'd removed the disc from the earring metal, it was full steam ahead with making the bezel and bail for the pendant.
A beautiful finished piece that can be work again and cherished.

I'll never tire watching clients unbox sentimental remodels, as they deal with their surprise, their joy and probably a little bit of relief aswell, that those precious items they chose to melt down, mix up and create a new piece from, has been a good decision.
Audrey came to me with her charm bracelet gifted to her from her mum and dad when she was just 18, and a silver chain that belonged to her late brother.
As many of these stories go, this precious sentimental jewellery wasn't being worn and Audrey wanted to make a new piece from this jewellery and love it again.
With a sketch and an idea in her head, Audrey sat down with me in a consultation and we took those ideas and began the plans to turn them into something real.
From Audreys original plan and a few ideas thrown in by myself, we created the most beautiful, original bangle made entirely by hand in my leslie workshop.
After the metalwork was complete, I sent the bangle down to the outstanding Anna Wilson at Babu jewellery.
Anna supports trade with setting and engraving and was my first thought when the design came together. Anna's work is absolutely stunning and if youd like to see more, you can see her work on Instagram. The star settings and engravings were exactly as we wanted, the detail just beautiful.
With the bangle complete it was then submitted to Edinburgh Assay Office for testing and hallmarking, then back to myself for finishing.

In all sterling silver, a hinged bangle with a discreet hidden tension clasp.
The bangle features an engraving of a dandelion clock and its fluff, with Audrey and her families birthstones star set in the fluff. A sweet heart ivy vine engraving completes the surrounding metal decoration and a safety chain for added security.
The outside of the bangle is finished to a super high shine, with the inside contrasting beautifully with a satin finish.

Thank you so much Audrey, for your patience whilst I navigated my first hinge and hidden clasp and for giving me such a beautiful task to get creative with.
I absolutely love the finished piece and I hope it brings you so much joy for many, many years to come ❤️

Please be aware I will be at my employed position in Dunfermline tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday for most of the day and will only be doing small amounts of work in my own business.

Today and tomorrow left of a fab week away. Heading back to the airport on friday morning.
Im gutted 😂 could've done with another week but nonetheless I've slept loads, rested plenty in the sun and spent time with Mr G for a change.

Following my first few weeks back into paid employment its become more clear how much I need to be earning a stable income, so I'll be cutting back even more on the jewellery unfortunately, meaning I'll need to rethink my waiting list.
Don't worry if you have been waiting though. Your requests will be met one way or another and ill be in touch next week.
But for now, after almost a year of no wages, I need to earn for myself and family.
As always, all messages, emails etc will be responded to, as soon as i can on my return...

The plan was to get today in the workshop guys but its not happening.
I'm absolutely shattered, thats me just getting going now so all jobs are now on hold till I get back, I'm also still waiting on my hallmarking submission coming back as well.
I've only just gotten Brodie out for his walk but the fresh air works wonders.
Lucky for him I was keeping his pace today, we're both feeling our age 😂
Its glorious out there though, get out if you can. I love the sounds (thats Brodie panting, not me 😂), the birds singing and the odd buzz from a fly or wasp, the weeds blowing in the wind, distant sounds of dogs barking and farm traffic. I'm very very lucky to have this on my door step to escape to.
I hope you all have space outside you can enjoy on these sunny days 🌞🍂❤️
