Based in the UK, we create and sell distinctive jewellery from the finest quality brass, waxed cotton and assortment of unique beads, gemstones and adornments found or foraged... Our signature pendants feature an artistic synthesis of brass wire, woven cotton and centrepiece stones that come together to create a piece that is most certainly Thai and undoubtedly unmatched. The artist Pongnatee Liam

dee is a Thai national who has been making jewellery for 20 years. This is his full-time work; he invests his time, passion and artistic vision into each and every piece. The pride he takes in his work is evident upon witnessing the quality, finish and individuality that each piece exhibits. He sells his work to retailers throughout Thailand, being proud to appertain to only a handful of jewellery-makers who produce this style of work. He has featured in exhibitions in India, China and Nepal and his jewellery is worn worldwide.

It's time for our most vital public announcement 💁🏻‍♀️💜🪢

I caught Own demonstrating the perfect open & close of our single-stone amethyst bracelet on black slim twist cord, and knew it was the perfect time to share.

We make our bracelets with the strongest, waxiest cord that pushes every other cord out there to the curb! Imported from Thailand, it is practically unfrayable, definitely unsnappable and coated in vegan wax that enforces it's shape retention splendidly.

For this reason, it's a little stiff to open at first making customers worried it will break (that's never ever going to happen 💪), and so ask this most common (and definitely not silly) question!

Never fear, with body heat and more times manoeuvred, your bracelet will ease right up, and hey, with greater sticking power means less chance of losing it!

We're really rather proud of our cord 🙏🪢

10 years just in Europe that is... A lot longer before I joined Own!

From it being a bread and butter in Thailand, starting in Chatuchak as a boy for Own, to a small market in the quant Catalonian town of Argencola in 2017... it's all shaped how we show up today.

Ok, I thought this might be more interesting than it was… But hey, as a stats-fan and managing partner, this is highly valuable information.

Our 3-stone custom crystal bracelet reigns supreme! You guys love this bracelet for the versatility it affords and the fun you can have creating something completely unique and bespoke for the crystals you choose to embody, or the special people you choose to honour with their birthstones. Second to it are the most popular single-stone bracelets we offer: citrine and peridot. We are so proud to have a product that resonates with so many of you so significantly. It's simple but glorious. Lastly, how wonderful that our very personal and very important Autism Infinity bracelet was a bestseller in the month it launched. I think the response to that tops the best business moments of the year for us! 🎊

We're taking our time looking back and reflecting on 2025, a great year for the business, not necessarily financially, but in how it felt like we were stepping into who and what we wanted the business to be, connecting with more and more ideal customers and trusting ourselves that it was all enough.

Looking back then actually helps us look forward. You see, there was a secret motivation in making this carousel post. In our Ins & Outs of 2026 post, I pledged to reduce our current online catalogue in favour of highlighting and pushing bestsellers and hero products. In going through our Etsy trends of 2025 I was able to see the number of products that we didn't sell AT ALL last year. Our (somewhat naïve) business approach has always been a bit of "well leave it up, someone might like it" or Own's favourite, "the right customer hasn't found it yet." Babe, I'm afraid the waiting days are over. Every item on the last slide (next to last slide) has now been culled from our Etsy shop. Bye!

So our resolution of: "✔ Selling fewer, better things" has been completed! First 'IN' done of 2026: refined collections, clearer product stories, and pieces that earn their place.

I'm so curious to see how 2026's equivalent post compares ✨️

This post is brought to you by lived experience. I can't work it out though - are we chilling or working hard in 2026? Perhaps the magic happens in the blend of both ✨️🧘‍♀️

Building a business around a profoundly neurodivergent child is both complex and clarifying. Time is limited, energy even more so, and normal ways of working simply don’t apply. What you see here is years in the making; a business baby that's shaped carefully and adapted endlessly to fit our life, not the other way around. And we are still learning 🙌

Our aim? A business that supports our family, holds our values, and (ideally) runs itself in the three hours a day we can give it while still leaving room for the odd extravagant day out.

Looking ahead to 2026 with clarity, confidence, and just enough mischief 🤸‍♀️

A small business appreciation post! 🎁

In 2025, we made a conscious choice to shop small for more of our gifts. We wanted to be intentional with our spending, choosing not to funnel our money into systems that concentrate wealth and extract value, and instead letting our pounds speak for the kind of world we want to live in. And as a small business ourselves of course this is close to our hearts! We lead by example hoping this same way of thinking leads conscious shoppers to us, and feeling so grateful to the ones already by our side.

Shopping small keeps money closer to home. It supports real people, families, and livelihoods. It fuels creativity, flexibility, and care - things that rarely survive at scale. It definitely also means better products: more thoughtful, better made, often more inclusive, and created by people who understand nuance rather than mass appeal.

There’s something deeply meaningful about buying from someone who packs the order themselves, answers the emails, and feels the impact of every sale. The benefits ripple outward; into local economies, community resilience, and a society that values people over profit.

And by golly were we pleased with our choices! These products come highly recommended by us, they're businesses and stories and PEOPLE we follow, support and in whom we are invested. We can't wait to see where they go this year…
