Well, I’ve spent the last couple of weeks being 60… and frankly it’s taken quite a lot of my time! 😆

Big parties aren’t my thing (my nearest and dearest know that anything over about six people is pushing it!), so I’ve celebrated with a series of lovely little catch-ups instead. There was a family weekender organised by my stepdaughter and grandsprogs, there’s been cake 🎂, flowers, big balloons 🎈, walks, brunches, lunches, dinners and mocktails with friends, and my lovely hubster even whisked me off to Budapest for a few days at the height of the heatwave! 🥵 (But don’t worry, he got me back home before the Champion’s League football supporters descended ⚽️ 🏆)

I’ve definitely milked my birthday enough now, so service has now been resumed in the Made By Fee workshop with a modified chair and bench to accommodate the new dimensions of my birthday body! 🤣

Feel free to spam me with your best over-60 jokes, words of wisdom, or things I can now look forward to… 😃!

A little favour to ask from those that have supported my business over the years. 🙏

Some of you may remember that around 3 years ago, when I first set up my Google business profile for Made By Fee, I asked if anyone would mind leaving a Google review. Around ten wonderful people very kindly took time out of their day to do that for me and I was so grateful.

Unfortunately, I think because the account was brand new, Google mistakenly deactivated it shortly afterwards. After a lot of back and forth they eventually admitted it had been removed in error and reinstated it…however, all of those lovely reviews disappeared in the process and couldn’t be recovered 😩. I was so disheartened at the time that I just gave up on it.

However, now that I’m gradually stepping away from Etsy and focusing more on British Craft House, I’m trying to build a bit more of a Google presence so that Google actually starts recognising and showing my work to people. 🤞

So…if you’ve bought from me before and would be happy to leave a quick Google review, I’d genuinely really appreciate it ❤️ Even a short sentence makes a difference. I’ll pop the lınk in the comments below ⬇️

Also…yes, I’m sitting cross-legged on my workshop chair in the photo 😂. Fun fact…I’m hypermobile and this is just how I exist most of the time 😃 🧘‍♀️

Introducing my silver faceted pebble drop pendant and matching earrings set. Instead of using a rounded hammer to create ‘dimples’, I have textured these with a flat hammer creating lots of tiny flat ‘facets’ which catch and reflect the light really well.

Representing the four points of the compass and the four elements — Earth, Air, Fire and Water — the four-pointed star is often associated with direction, guidance and balance in nature. I made some for myself a while ago and they’ve very quickly become my everyday go-to set✨

Back on the chain gang! ⛓️ And really enjoying it because it’s such a therapeutic, mindful process.

Handmade by my own fair(ish) hands…a kinda chunky, kinda rustic Argentium (940) silver chain link bracelet fresh from the bench with a lovely matching toggle clasp designed to be secure.

Currently working on a matching necklace 😃

Happy Saturday folks! So lovely to have had some warmer weather down in Sussex and I’ve even left the house on a couple of occasions to enjoy some of it! 😃 ☀️

A quick update for you…I’ve uploaded the rest of my 9ct gold jewellery pieces on the British Craft House now with a couple of adjustments. The original gold open heart pendant that I showed you a few days ago went off to a new home and so I’ve renewed the listing with a smaller open heart but also there are now a couple of larger ones available as well. I’ve now got to work on the 18ct pieces! 🙈
