The devil is in the details. And sometimes, those details are almost too small to notice.

This is the quick-release spring bar we’ve designed for the upcoming Isotope Goutte d’Eau Evo.

At first glance, it’s just a spring bar. A tiny component that most people will never look at twice. But take a closer look.

The body features a brushed finish, while the two tiny quick-release tabs are shaped like polished droplets (gouttes d’eau, in French).

Was it necessary? Probably not. Would anyone complain if the tabs weren’t droplet-shaped? Certainly not.

But that’s not really the point.

We believe that the smallest components deserve the same consideration as the dial, case or movement. Even the parts you rarely see should reflect the care that goes into creating the watch.

It’s these little things that make an Isotope an Isotope.

And here’s a little question for those who know our watches well: Can you name the other Isotope model that features similar spring bars?

The Hydrium Grey Reef Shark is a monochromatic beauty, and probably one of the most understated Hydriums we have ever made.

We wanted to work almost entirely with shades of grey, black and steel, allowing the different finishes, textures and reflections to give the watch its character rather than relying on colour.

The cold grey dial changes considerably with the light, while the black hands and details give it the contrast it needs. The bead-blasted 316L steel case and matching bracelet complete the look, giving the whole watch a very functional, almost industrial feel that suits a proper 300m diver.

It’s a very different Hydrium from some of the more colourful pieces we’ve made over the years, but the Isotope DNA is still very much there.

Sometimes removing colour makes you notice the design even more.

A new Snooty is coming soon.

Just in time for Christmas. How frightfully convenient. 🎄
One has been told that Christmas is a time for giving, good behaviour and other such tiresome obligations.
Naturally, Fauntleroy snooty has other plans.
The presents are sorted. The cellar is stocked. The family silver remains, for now, accounted for.
As for the new watch?
A little darker. Rather more wicked. And certainly not something one wears to Sunday lunch with the vicar.
The nice list is terribly overcrowded anyway.

Métiers d’Art at Isotope.

Created with Oracle Time , the Mercury Vitreous editions explore one of watchmaking’s oldest decorative arts: Grand Feu enamel.

Each dial begins with a sterling silver base, covered with multiple layers of translucent vitreous enamel and repeatedly fired at extremely high temperatures. The silver beneath catches and reflects the light through the enamel, creating remarkable depth, texture and constantly changing colour.

Two interpretations: Lava Orange and Spearmint Green, each limited to just 25 pieces.

Traditional craft, expressed through unmistakably contemporary Isotope design.

The Moonshot Thunderclap pairs a sandblasted Grade 5 titanium case with an embossed grey dial, metallic purple Moondisc sub-dials and matching purple chronograph pushers.

Developed with Matt Smith-Johnson, aka Matt Smith-Johnson , it is also the first Isotope chronograph to feature a telemeter scale, measuring the distance between lightning and thunder.

Matt will be joining us at our booth during the torontotimepieceshow , where he’ll explain how the Thunderclap design came to life, why he chose this direction, and how his ideas were built on top of the original Moonshot platform.

The Isotope Flyway Coral.

A warmer expression of the Flyway, inspired by the organic colours and textures found beneath the ocean.

Its coral dial features a stamped pyramid pattern with a soft satin finish, creating shifting depth as the light moves across the surface. Silver indexes and Lacrima hands bring contrast, while the 36mm wing-shaped case gives the watch its distinctive architecture.

The Clous de Paris bezel adds a touch of discreet luxury, bringing texture and refinement without overpowering the design.

Above it, our hyperbolic paraboloid sapphire crystal gives the Flyway its unmistakable profile while reducing distortion from different viewing angles.
