On the lead up to Goldsmiths' Fair, I've been lucky enough to have Michael helping me out in my workshop! Mikey 🇧🇬 🇬🇧 🦊 ♒

Michael has just finished his training at Bishopsland Bishopsland Educational Trust , so this was a great opportunity for both of us: for me to pass on some skills to Michael, for Michael to learn about running an independent business, and for me to help me get through all the stock I need to make for Goldsmiths' Fair.

Pink Crystal Vein Niobium Ring ✨ 🩷

🔨 Hand forged from pure niobium, shaped and textured individually in my studio. Each band carries a distinctive sparkling surface — hammered by hand and inspired by geological formations, crystal structures and shimmering mineral veins.

⚡ Using electricity, the ring is anodised to create luminous pink interference colours that dance in the light. This striking effect comes from niobium oxide built up on the surface using electricity in the anodising process, refracting and reflecting light to create a shifting, otherworldly illusion of colour. The colour on this ring was created at 67 volts.

~ A Unique Alternative Wedding Band ~

Niobium offers a distinctive alternative to traditional gold, platinum or silver wedding rings. Rarely seen in fine jewellery, it makes for a wedding band that feels deeply personal, contemporary and original — perfect for those who value individuality and craftsmanship.

Lightweight yet strong, this ring is designed for everyday wear while remaining beautifully unconventional.

I've had the pleasure of making a few anniversary gifts this year and it's so rewarding to make pieces that celebrate life and love that will be treasured forever!

Alison got in touch with me through my website and ordered the Organic Crystal Crater Blue Ring for her husband for their 20th Anniversary. I was delighted when she sent me a photograph and this wonderful, heartwarming feedback 🥰

Wedding jewellery ✨

I forged our wedding rings from niobium 🔨 My wedding rings fits and slots next to my Hannah Bedford engagement ring, like a tiara of crystals, anodised to purple and blue. Murray's wedding ring has a chased 'vein' of crystal texture all around the wide band, which he chose to have in an anodised gradient of purple, blue, teal and green.

📷 Peter Oliver perfectly photographed our rings in my handmade silver and niobium ring boxes. It was a special moment when Murray's best men presented our rings in the boxes during our marriage ceremony.

I also made a purple and blue pendant to match Murray's cufflinks. I wore my Crystal Crater Earrings which I've had for a year now, paired with a new tiara I made for our wedding - because when you're a jeweller, why not make a tiara 🤣

27.06.26 I got married in a dress designed by me and made by the wonderful Jeni Jeni England CTRL art studio who, like me, runs her business from the artist community at the Sculpture Lounge Sculpture Lounge

I came to Jeni with a sketch and an idea of a versatile dress with a separate skirt and corset bodice with detachable cape sleeves. And wow what an incredible job she did! I felt 100% myself in this fantasy-inspired dress. It was also super fun going fabric shopping with her at Bridal Fabrics !

For the branch design down the front of the bodice, I wanted to give goldwork embroidery a go in purple/blue colours with metal thread from Golden-Hinde Goldwork - SarahR and wow it was hard! I have a new appreciation for embroidery work, which rivals the patience needed for chasing & repoussé. Delighted to learn a new skill and make something completely unique!

I bought the handmade purple skirt from an artist in Spain Sindy Bloom and wow it worked so well with my outfit design and was great for the evening & to (attempt to) dance in!

The jewellery was of course all made by me in my signature niobium - chased by hand and anodised to blues and purples. More about my jewellery soon! 👀

The Crystal Vein Niobium Rings are hand forged from pure niobium, shaped and textured individually in my studio. Each band carries a distinctive sparkling surface — hammered by hand and inspired by geological formations, crystal structures and shimmering mineral veins.

🪨🌠💎 Visions of futuristic, celestial crystals are translated into metal.

⚡ Using electricity, the rings are anodised at different voltages to create iridescent interference colours that dance in the light. This striking effect comes from niobium oxide built up on the surface during the anodising process, refracting and reflecting light to create a shifting, otherworldly illusion of colour.

No two rings are ever identical — each one captures its own unique play of texture and tone.
