❤️ After 78 wonderful years, it’s time for us to say goodbye.

It is with very mixed emotions that we share the news that House of McCue will be closing its doors as we retire.

For 78 years, House of McCue has been so much more to us than simply a jewellery shop. It has been a huge part of our lives, filled with wonderful memories, familiar faces, friendships and generations of families who have returned to us time and time again.

We have had the privilege of being there for so many of life’s special moments — engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and celebrations — as well as caring for treasured pieces that hold memories of loved ones and generations gone by.

To have been trusted with those precious moments and memories has meant more to us than we can ever put into words.

Our jeweller, Patrick, has been given a wonderful opportunity to continue using his skills and craftsmanship in an exciting new venture. We are delighted for him and, with Patrick beginning a new chapter, we feel the time is right for us to begin a new chapter of our own and take the opportunity to enjoy an early retirement.

Our last day of trading will be Friday, 9th October, and the last day we will be accepting new jobs will be Monday, 5th October.

Please be assured that all outstanding work will be completed as promised, and we kindly ask that any items awaiting collection are collected by our final day.

As we prepare to close the door for the last time, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors over the years. Thank you for your custom, your loyalty, your friendship, your stories and your kindness. Thank you to those who recommended us to friends and family, and especially to the families who have supported House of McCue through several generations.

You have all been part of our story.

There will undoubtedly be a few tears when we turn the key for the final time, but we will leave with an enormous amount of pride, gratitude and very happy memories.

A beautiful bespoke transformation!

Our client brought in a ring that held sentimental value, along with diamonds from another piece they loved. We carefully reused the original shank and reset their diamonds into a completely new design, creating a ring that keeps the memories while giving it a fresh new life.
