Must admit I’ve not posted in a long old while which I really must get back to doing. How on earth independent guys/gals such as myself find the time is beyond me. I’m sure the older I get the more tech phobic I become 😂.

Had a lovely bunch in the other day with two omegas needing new batteries and a beautiful vintage Rolex in need of a little TLC.

All 3 back up and running and ready to do what they do best ( tell the time ).

Apologies to anyone who’s been trying to make contact. Two weeks ago I suffered a flare up with the slipped discs I have in my back, this caused a knock on effect with the muscles In my neck and shoulders trapping a nerve that goes into my right arm.

It’s not something I’ve ever experienced before with the pins and needles / dead arm feeling causing me a lot of discomfort and distress. The medication I have been prescribed is really really strong leaving me feeling almost drunk/spaced out.

This is the first week of the new meds and I’m still getting to grips with how they make me feel. Please bear with me as I try to catch up on work that’s in atm.

I appreciate the patience and understanding shown from my clients as I slowly make a recovery.

Lived with back pain for so long now it’s not usually too problematic. But every once in a while it like to remind me how instantly feeble and vulnerable it can make me.

Currently look like I’m a 95yr old carrying a sack of spuds about.

Over the weekend gsbjewellers had a request from one of our long standing clients, on a piece he had Newly acquired.

A dial change on a Hublot Fusion. From factory blue to fully bussdown (diamond set).

The “buss down” look isn’t for everyone however in this instance it was definitely the right path to go down. And seeing the clients reaction made it all worth it.

We Installed a full diamond set dial to match the diamond set casing and clasp.

The results speak for themselves. Am sure this will bring much joy to the recipient.

Unfortunately I shan’t be at gsbjewellers today after another midnight A&E trip with our youngest where we didn’t get home till night on 4am 🕓 😴 this equals a very exhausted daddy 😢.

And we’re back !!!

After what seems like the most insanely hectic 9/10 weeks I am finally settled in the new premises.
We somehow managed to cram selling our house & Buying a new place , the usual family Xmas , our youngest lads Birthday (NYE) and then packing loading moving and setting up all in the space of December and January.

It’s been mentally & physically taxing but the happiness the new place has brought to my tribe is unreal !!

Over the last few days I have finally been able to slowly catchup with all the messages / enquiries / jobs and getting used to the new set up for the workshop.

Tomorrow I’m back in Ipswich with gsbjewellers and looking forward to rattling through a few jobs there.

Looking forward to 2025 being a fantastic year for everyone.

🎶 🎶 Half past midnight and all thru the house. Not a creature could stirr nor even my spouse. With everything moved in and stacked upon high I started to investigate this new yard of mine. 🎶 🎶

Yesterday was a Movie 🎥trust me 😂 !!!

We cannot express enough thanks to My little brother Samuel Taylor coming to help with the move, I couldn’t of done it without you dude you utter LEGEND , and of course my amazing mother in law Ann and our two cheeky chappies Alexander & Jack who were amazing after getting back from school. Huge appreciation for my mother in laws besties & and our Ever so Lovely neighbour for helping with the move too
( sorry we underestimated the sheer volume of stuff we had to move ).
To my gawjus Bride Emma Jane Taylor “we did it boogaloo we did it” I love you with every ounce of my being.

Everyone looked exhausted by the end of it 😂 we are all eternally grateful 🙏.
Today we started the mountain job of sorting through the 5million cardboard boxes of stuff & started setting up my workshop in its new Abode.

After a decade in the old place I’m sure the emotions of it all will catch us up. Deffo earned my Brandy&Coke last night ! Was hard to try to Rela######x my over stimulated mind ( cos we had to be up and at it early to get the van back before 9am).

Now it’s time for a quick bite to eat then the next big push.

Finally we enter the BIG week. On Thursday we move into our new home & workshop. It’s not something we’ve been able to sing from the rooftops about due to insurance and security reasons. But the final few days are upon us.
This has meant that everything has taken a back seat until the move is completed.

Thankyou for your continued support especially over this period with the challenges we’ve faced leading up to this point.

Roll on 9th Jan !!!
