When directors of developments tamper with gates and control panels, that is when our liability ceases. Today we have pulled out of another development due to this.

Gate doesn’t unlock properly. Well, the strike release was destroyed and latch hanging by a thread. Drilled and tapped new thread in latch and strike release. Replaced bent and destroyed strike release. Now all working beautifully, until someone else forces the gate.

So, we attended a gate job today after we had to switch it off due to it being unsafe for use. We investigated the cause today and found that the safety edge to protect anyone from a crush risk, even though pedestrians are not allowed to use the vehicle gate, was not connected at the control panel and the inner workings on the safety edge had been removed!!! Wow. Who on earth does this! So, we have removed the ghost safety edge and reduced the motor torque on the closing cycle to where there is no longer a risk if people decide to go against the warning signage and use the vehicle gate for pedestrian access. A new safety edge will be installed, correctly, and force testing carried out. The gates are now operational with minimal, no risk until we can do the required safety works and force testing. This is why we are now “Gate Safe” approved.

Another house now secured in Bromsgrove. The owner now has a smart alarm so she will always know what is happening and when, and can be controlled anywhere in the world. Parents also have the app and were surprised how easy it is to use.

For all your security needs give us a shout and we will conduct a free, no obligation security audit.

Lots of gate servicing and force testing taking place. Sadly, not all gates are safe, and as such we have a duty of care to isolate systems that don’t meet the regulations. As we are “Gate Safe” and apply standards as required, we isolate, repair or bring up to standard, force test and certify safe for use.

Out with the very, very old system, that only worked for 2 apartments, and in with the new GSM based, remotely managed system….

Another care call system installed in a development in Ross on Wye. Big development with 59 apartments who now know that help is at hand when they need it. Remote keyfobs being utilised so the residents can carry the panic button around with them, rather than relying on a nurse call pull cord. System works through GSM and internet to ensure full service is always available. Development managers receive notifications of all events 👍🏼

What a day! Early start which ended up in a massive diversion down the smallest lanes possible due to a fallen tree. Didn’t go in the loft before install! The smallest loft (height) and so many trusses and cross braces, I was having to crawl through it, and reverse out on my hands and knees. Lost some weight though as it was a sauna up there.

Anyway… new comprehensive smart alarm, tailored to the customer, as she had several furry friends. House all covered. Full install also of a 3k colour night vision system, cameras in black to blend in to the soffits.

Even fitted a Bat House whilst the ladders were up.

Many challenges, heat, access etc, but, job done!

Then we get an emergency call out to a gated development in Worcester.

Long, hot, but productive day.

For all your security needs, give us a call for a free security audit and no obligation quotations.
