8 years ago today we got the keys to what would become JOY HQ ✨

Before this, we’d spent years working from rented, cramped office spaces. Packing orders in tiny corners. Designing jewellery anywhere we could fit a desk. Constantly dreaming about having a space that actually felt like ours.

And then… this happened.

A building with good light, big windows, an overgrown garden and absolutely no guarantee any of it would work 😂

Since then this space has seen thousands of designs, huge highs, difficult seasons, packing tables covered in orders, laughter, stress, creativity, growth… and versions of us we hadn’t met yet.

No business plan can fully prepare you for what it actually takes to build something from scratch. The chaos. The risk. The becoming.

But sometimes the best things in life really do start with a tiny bit of belief, absolute determination… and a set of keys 💖

What really makes a workplace is the people in it.

The ones who make you look forward to each day. The ones who bring energy, support and a sense of ease, where everyone feels included and part of something.

At JOY, no two days feel the same. There is always laughter, shared moments and a team that lifts each other up, even in the busiest times.

It is that environment that shapes everything we create. Because when you enjoy who you work with, it shows in the care, the detail and the meaning behind every piece.

It is not just what we make. It is how we feel while making it, together.

You might have noticed it’s been a little quieter here lately… but don’t worry, Joy HQ is still as busy as ever! ✨

These days you’ll mostly find me in our new shop , chatting to customers and dreaming up new designs for both businesses.

Meanwhile, Fiona and the amazing Joy team are running the show at HQ, making, packing and sending all your sentimental favourites (and a few new treasures in the works 💕).

It’s the best of both worlds, and it means whether you order online or pop in to see me in person, there’s always joy in the making.
