I’ve 35 years experience making/teaching jewellery, a BA Hons in Jewellery and PGCE in Design and Technology, a member of Make Southwest, associate lecturer at Exeter College and run 14 years of workshops at Craft Festival. I am aware of embracing current fashion, which I follow with enthusiasm, but also strive to create pieces that are timeless in style. I enjoy working with all metals as well as

having experimented with marble and acrylic giving a classical quality. Music, especially stringed musical instruments continues to be an inspiration, using the contrast of circular curves and the tension of straight lines. I have also been heavily influenced by the simplicity and clean lines of traditional Japanese design.

The results of my my Advanced Silver jewellery students work Exeter College this term.
We began with fabricating 3D formed rings which give the appearances of being cast but are fabricated from sheet. I loved seeing the different interpretations that developed from the basic shape . An enormous amount of work, patience and solder stages went into to each piece.
As a contrast we then went on to use set stones
of their choice within a wire structure.
Well done everyone and thank you for being such amazing students and turning up with such enthusiasm on those dark winter evenings! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✨✨✨

Feeling very happy to have some time in the workshop! I’ve so many things on the go, some starting, some finishing some fixing. Losing yourself in jewellery making, listening to your favourite tunes and a glass of wine to finish up is the best thing! I know other jewellers can relate!

Taking bookings for Sunday February 8th to create your own special bespoke Valentine’s or Galentine’s gifts. No experience needed as I’ll guide you all the way. You can choose between rings, bangles or pendants. 2.00pm - 6.00pm
£65 for rings and pendants, £75 for bangles.

Just said goodbye to my last commission of the year. My Faith and Trust pendant has touched several hearts and I have made a couple to order with slightly different customisations. Despite having other commitments I have worked so hard to keep making and teaching the craft and have had an amazingly successful year meeting and working with so many lovely people.

An absolute pleasure and privilege to run and complete another term as Advanced Jewellery associate lecturer at Exeter College and working with such enthusiastic and talented learners. All pieces are completely handmade in 9 weeks.
Next term starts on 14th January.
