Are you ever worried about what would happen if something happened to you?

Not only does our carers' card identify you as an unpaid carer, it also provides 2 benefits:
1. Emergency Response - this ensures if you are not able to provide your caring role due to an accident or emergency situation support can be arranged by calling the number on the card.

2. Discounts - Access to a range of 100 local services/businesses that are offering discounts and concessions.

To promote Carers' Rights Day Burstalls are offering a complimentary thirty-minute consultation to carers’ who are registered with CISS, this can either be face-to-face or telephone to discuss any legal concerns or queries that carers’ may have, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), capacity, the Court of Protection (COP), and care fee planning etc.

Burstalls Solicitors understand and appreciate that navigating these matters can feel overwhelming for carers, so they are happy to offer initial guidance and reassurance to help put their minds at ease.

Do you look after someone with dementia, or an undiagnosed memory impairment?

Have you heard of the Herbert Protocol?

If you care for someone with dementia, in their own home, you can fill out a Herbert Protocol form which includes details about the person, their past, their habits and places they go. Then if they go missing you can give it to us and save time at the start of a search.
