A difficult decision 🤍
When we opened our Narberth shop earlier this summer, we were very clear that it wasn’t goodbye to Laugharne. And at the time, we genuinely didn’t think it would be.
The plan was always to have both shops, with Dad’s help, advice and guidance along the way. We were so excited to have him there with us as we took this next step with Quicksilver.
We never imagined that just a few weeks after opening our new shop, we’d be having to make this decision without him.
But after a lot of thought, and with everything that has happened over the past few weeks, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close our Laugharne shop on Saturday 10th October.
This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, and saying goodbye to the shop on King Street is incredibly hard. As a single mum living in Narberth, I need to make the decision that feels right for me and my son, while also making sure Quicksilver can continue. For me, that means focusing on our Narberth shop and carrying on everything Dad created.
This is something Dad and I discussed at length during his last few days, and he was fully supportive of it ❤️
Laugharne has been such a huge part of Quicksilver for over 38 years. It’s where Dad started the business, where we have made so many memories, and where we have met so many wonderful customers and friends.
And although we’re closing the shop, it definitely isn’t goodbye to Laugharne, we’d love to do the odd pop-up shop or event there in the future. Laugharne will always be a huge part of Quicksilver and very close to our hearts 🤍
We have a couple of weeks left in Laugharne, and we’d love to see as many of you as possible before we close our doors, and then to have you visit us in Narberth would mean the world.
