WINDRUSH - this project idea needs resurrecting. The conflict between the Windrush generation and Central Government must be discussed looking for proper procedures to help us stay here, rather than provisions to remove us. These conflicts is still hot fire in the belly of many Windrushers. Justice, human rights is a mus. The planes are still deporting, the deportation courts are still functioning. The detention centres are still full. Immigration is still searching. Commonwealth citizens, British citizens, refugees are still being removed.
Now that we are no longer European, England needs to return to making the Commonwealth. England is trying hard to welcome us, the BLACK COMMONWEALTH into new socio-economic engagements. Firstly, the discrimation the Black Commonwealth suffered has to be explored, as that idealogy of the 1920s of refusing to allow Black Commonwealth Citizens entry into White Commonwealth ccountries is still alive and active. Yes, there was a time when Windrushers and other Black people were not ALLOWED BY ENGLISH LAW TO GO TO, IMMIGRATE TO countries of the White Commonwealth such as Australia, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, USA, and many more. That idea that separation, hierarchy, difference is good for the British Empire still prevails. In our interactions with White Commonwealth, narratives about the prejudice, hatred, lack of love peace happiness prevails. The historical relationship between us so called COMMONWEALTH CITIZENS needs to be said, heard, responded to. The Isis scale is unbalanced, for equilibrium JUSTICE, HUMAN RIGHTS, PEACE LOVE HAPPINESS must be included in any future engagement.
The BLACK COMMONWEALTH is not responsive to the Inglish 'reaching out and bless' engagements - check out when Prince Harry went to SKN.
As a Black community, discussions about our role in the new COMMONWEALTH agreements is important. Many of us are not getting the inforation about the role of Windrushers in getting England back into power-making and control in Africa, the Caribbean, and other Black Commonwealth members. These discussions could take place within this Windrush project. Bless
